  1. Taisto, Isto or anyone who knows this : would you consider myself as US or Finnish shooter if I would decide to come ?

    Anyone here ;)

    As per latest rulebook:

6.5.1. Residency is defined as the Region where the

individual is ordinarily domiciled for a minimum of 183 days of the

twelve months immediately preceding the month in which the match

    begins.

BUT if You want to re-do Your Finnish and Nordic championships, You must ask from both RD:s for temporary region change.

  2. That sounds great. I'm ready to go back. They put on some great matches..

Any word on a pistol match too?

    Carl

How are you Carl and how's your mom? :roflol:

I would love to see You and Your wife again here in Finland.

At the moment, there is no pistol match in calendar one week before or after those two matches. We'll know later, now is off-season, people don't much think about next years matches. But after new year there will be major activity filling in calendar.

  3. Tommi, since I do not shoot Open I am unsure of the rule but, i knew someone would know. I just thought it was funny!!!

    Trapr,

There is few differencies between rules in US and IPSC. Minor things only and we will manage, both  Actually, 10.2.1 concerns STD also, You can take support with magazine outside the box, it's only bodyparts which are not allowed to touch ground.

  5. We have in our club few Snipetec targets. It has very bright light what is visible up to 1000 meters. It works with shocksensor. Just attach the sensor what ever target You like. One way is set pepperpopper so hard that it won't fall at hit. Then light flashes on every hit. Also target can be plywood. Cut wood to meet targets A-zone and put it behind ipsc target. Set sensor to the stick where target is installed. Then Snipetec flashes only when hit to A-zone. And there as many varieties to use Snipetec as You can imagine.

  6. the shopping for divisions really has me concerned, but i also really wanted to come to the match. :(

hopefully someday soon ill get over.

    Trapr,

IPSC Tournaments should be done restricked. Like US 3gun matches. For excample, some 3gun divisions:

    STD, all guns standard

    OPEN, all guns open

TACTICAL, rifle open, other guns standard

PRODUCTION, handgun PD, other guns standard.

Mayby someday we'll get this kind of match, until then, we have to play by tournament rulebook, which allows division shopping.

    Just my 2 eurocents

  7. I think is the best followers for shotguns are made from titanium. Very slick, light and lasts longer than plastic ones.

In pic there is older one black plastic rem follower, then almost new orange one from my 1100 Tactical and Titanium follower.

  8. Actually the Shotgun match is also both Nordic and Finnish Championships and so is the pistol match too. This means that every division will be highly contested and there are no easy ones to pick. One really can't sandbag through this Tournament so Kurt got it backwards.

For example USPSA 2006 Limited Pistol Nationals had 220 competitors in limited and the same years USPSA Multigun Nationals had 23 competitors in limited. So which would be easier way to get your points shooting against 220 or 23...

If any questions about scoring, I try to help. Tournament rules can be downloaded from IPSC.ORG.
