You will get there. It's all manual. Ar least for me it is. It you want slide cuts, do a small section of the slide, add rectangle or do circles where you want the ends, add ligns to the spots. Hit q to "push pull" then type in a
- .025 or however deep you like them. Set the axis where you like and go from there. Start slow. I run new programs on wood. If you miss a number or something like that happens you don't ruin metal/slide/bits ect.

It seems like a big task but I taught myself in about a month. Watch nyccnc, he does a lot on f360. Keep at it. For the price, can't beat it! It's not perfect, but I really like it for cnc work.

Grab cad has slides. I normally just build them. Do a rough up. Glock slides are pretty easy to rough up. If I can figure out how I'll send you one in a bit if you like.

+1 for grab cad. F360 just did a video on Facebook showing how to import files and logos.

Agreed. With both mine I'm running 38 so if I need 11g 105 or so I'm ok w that.

The comp would still have a good amount of gas to be affective.
With a 5 in barrel and rather small holes, 1/16 is what I'm looking at for the sides, I think it will work very well. A little bleed off the help with movemet. I like how it shoots now but I always like to tinker. Thankfully I live 2 blocks from the range. Mill 2 holes, shoot, mill 2 holes shoot. Record the results and go from there. I'm sure there is a ballance to be found. SVI has a medium size comp and 3-5 lg holes. Akai has, well, several options.... Tanfoglio gold team same thing. All of then are known to be VERY Flat shooting. I want to keep playing, tinkering, and experimenting.

Also a possibility?

Ahh always been the voice or reason..... hahaha.

Really seems to have a nice bounce too it.. I'm VERY tempted to start milling holes.

Small world.

What advice did you follow and how did they run?So I tested the mags with the factory guts in them today. I was getting 22 reloadable, and try as I might I didn't get a single nosedive. I will probably go to the range later this week and test some more.

Hey, was that saddle creek range? Lakeland???

Same load I use. Love it. Same feel as 9.4g 3n38, a lot easier to load on the press and about 15$ a lb less!

Check if your chamber will take 9mm. Mine does. It was originally a 6in barrel. It shoots 9 major if you are interested in doing so.
-
That's a good point. Dark room (house at night) the muzzle blast would be a bit blinding.
-
Wow that turned out awesome!

If you want something similar to that you could get a commander length trubor blank, mill the slide to accept it, get a full dust cover gun and make a small pocket comp.
Something like this
-
Neither have I. I'm sure unless you label the load "man hunter 5000" or something foolish like that. However, you are already going to be asked a million questions as well as loose the gun and remaining ammo. Why loose your reloading cabinet and all your notes as well.

I think that would be the ticket! I don't know about the dot holding up when slide mounted but I'm sure someone here knows of one that works. Sounds to me like you have a good plan. The 2nd option, 10mm/ 40 s&w. Shoot .40 for cheap brass. 10mm for defense.

:-) good to hear. You could even go 38 super. Underwood has loads that are pretty close to major. If you go 9mm they also sell really hit +p+ loads. Not 9 major, but should work the comp.

Hopefully we will be seeing a lot more tanfo soon. :-) I have a few irons in the fire. Should be fuuuun! I'm shocked we haven't seen more from the polymer crowd.
