  1. Is the inside of the MOA mag tube extension beveled like a Nordic tube where it meets the stock mag tube? If not that may be where the spring is hanging up. Or you may need to bevel the Stoeger a bit.

MOA uses Nordic tubes. I think it's a combination of the spring not seating correctly in the follower due to my poor job of bending the springs in and down as well as the tube loosening/backing out enough under fire to create a big enough gap for the spring to catch.
A little heat on the end coil and press flar on a scrap of wood let cool.

?? Why. Bend with pliers. You just need to get the end bent in and down so it doesn't try to catch anything. Don't heat springs, even just the end.

  2. Very strange experience with Toms loading yesterday. His barrel is a noveske 18" 1-8 and the 77gr loads he worked up were grouping fairly well for a start. I tried a few in my rifle, 18" black hole 1-8, and all the shots were keyholed bad at 100y. I can shoot xm193 and other 55gr sub moa, but the 77s were a complete failure.

  3. My CMC flat has been excellent out of the box, and it seems to go against the grain of a lot of reviews but I like it more than the AR gold I have on the backup now. The reset is excellent on the CMC. Only problem I had with the flat trigger is that you can't run an extended bolt catch like the BAD. I took one and chopped off the bar that goes through the trigger guard. Might go to a curved trigger on the next one just to keep that feature.

  4. A gunsmith should do it for you unless you own an AR pistol or registered SBR. There are constructive possession laws that can come into play if you own an NFA length barrel and no legal gun to put it on.
