  1. The mag capacity limit is gone nationally, but it is still around in a lot of states.

I have no issues with reloads, although I was really bummed at first about not being able to load to 17 or 19. Now that I've shot that way, I like the additional stage planning it adds to the sport. If you have even just 17rds, you will almost never have to reload, and you can pick your ideal spot on all but the 32 round courses.

  2. Think of it this way, if you change lot#s and keep the load the same, then shoot it, you are potentially running slightly hotter or slightly lower pressure. Is your existing load close enough to the high end where this concerns you?

  3. Never mix different powders.

If there is a chance the formula has changed, I can see the point, but most popular powders don't change. I would not recommend mixing powder you bought 30 years ago with the new stuff, but modern wst with modern wst=go for it

Plus add mentioned above, you are only mixing an Oz or two with 8lbs odd new powder

  4. We need a "clean yer cases gud" stickied post with all the best info so we don't have to have this multi-page thread yet again.

Tired after only 7 months, huh?

If it wasn't for repeat discussions, there would be no discussions at all!

  5. Bigbob21, I had that problem exactly once, and it was a round where the brass shaved the bullet while seating it. There was lead piled up around the mouth of the case, and it caused the action to jam up.

  6. I agree with lefty. I don't think you can completely eliminate the dust. Especially if you aren't replacing the media frequently. I always get dust when I'm separating the brass from the media. It isn't as bad with the fabric sheets or with the nufinish and spirits, but if I'm in a hurry, I skip those.

  7. I am betting the issue is with the case not being sized far enough down. Or the run of the case.

Put the round in the gauge backwards and see if the rim enters the gauge. If it doesn't, twist it around a little in the gauge then put it back in the right way. If it goes in, then it was the rim.

  8. 15 rounds might not eliminate as many reloads as you think. Some matches have 8rd arrays in practically every position. I'm still reloading after an 8rd array. It will give more room for misses, but that is somewhat counter top the idea behind it.
