  1. I kind of figured I'd probably be using a different powder for the .44, I guess my priorities are clean burning, meters well, and accuracy, not sure in what order lol, actually, I guess it doesn't matter how many powders I use, come to think of it!

    ipsc standard accuracy

Well h*ll, I pulled 2 bullets, they look identical to the few new ones I have left. not a mark on them. the top of the case measures about .4205-.421, the load is 4.4 gr. titegroup with rainier 180gr flat points, o.a.l. 1.12"

    ipsc standard accuracy

When I got it I put a box of wolf through it to get me by until my dies, bullets, etc. for 40 s&w came in, but that was about 10-12 years ago and I honestly don't remember how it did. After shooting it the summer I got it it pretty much sat until last year when I decided to get it going again. for about ten years my 550b sat because I bought it for 40's only, but last year I decided to use it for 9's, 45's, 44's and eventually 223,243,204's also

    ipsc standard accuracy

I usually shoot off hand, but I tried it off a rest when I was trying out the different loads, I'll check the crimp, never thought of that.
  5. Hello all, I'm a plinker, i don't compete, but in my collection of cz's I have a ipsc standard in 40, alond with a cz 40b and a cz40p. all I've ever shot out of them are plated bullets. I've tried 155's and 180's, neither are accurate, I'm going to switch over to bayou bullets and was wondering what the ipsc would prefer? Also any thoughts on a good clean powder in it? I'm not a great shot, but the ipsc standard has never shot better than about 6" groups at 25yards, I'm hoping its because it doesn't like the plated bullets. Thanks for any info!
  6. Hello all, long time lurker, first time poster currently I'm using titegroup for 9's and 40's and universal for 45's and 44 mags, because a friend's son gave us a mostly full 8lb of each when he went on a 3 year tour in germany a long while back. I don't compete, so power factor isn't an issue with me. I'm looking for a powder or powders for those four cals that is accurate and clean burning, and that meters well using a 550b. i've been using plated bullets in all 4 cals lately, but i've noticed inmy 44's that since switching from lead it doesn't seem as accurate, I've only used plated in my 40's and they've never been too accurate, I've been thinking of switching to bayou bullets after reading other posts here, but I want to make sure I get the right powder so they aren't too smokey and dirty, we started reloading many years ago with red dot, bullseye, and unique, and I know I'm not doing that again! Reading through the posts here I was settling on WST, but then saw a post about it leaking in the dillon powder dispenser, so now I'm not sure, any thoughts for me? sorry about the long post, I'm not good at this!
