Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Sorry for the delay, PM sent too. Carlsons Choke Tubes Found there site after reading another post recommending them.
  2. I'm looking to add events to the calendar for FirearmsAlliance.org. So any matches, shoots, firearms related events, etc. that are open to the public in Michigan would be greatly appreciated. calendar@firearmsalliance.org I would like to make this calendar a destination for the Michigan shooter. Thanks Steve

  4. Thanks for the help/ideas. I think I may wait and save a few more bucks and purchase a Benelli M1 Tactical which comes with three choke tubes. The prices seem to be decent for the M1 since the M2 is on the market now, been seeing some for just shy of $700 with shipping. Can't see getting the Nova and having to dump more money into it right away for the threading. Norbs 007, I found a place that did barrel mods, but the link is on my work computer, I'll try finding it tomorrow and sending it your way. Prices were decent too.
  5. No interchangeable chokes on the Benelli Nova Tactical, so I have been trying to find out the cost of threading the barrel. With the additional cost it might not be as good a deal as it originally appeared.
  6. According to Benelli's web site it does have the cylinder choke, I'm not sure if there interchangeable though. Mag extension's are available, and I planned on getting that.
  7. Looking at a Nova Tactical with 18.5 inch barrel, someone mentioned it may be to short for three gun, any opinions on the use of 18.5 inch barrel use in 3 gun? I've read some post and seem to say 21 and 22 inch barrels for three gun are good, how much of a handicap would that 3 or so inch difference make. This gun would be strictly for home defense and 3 gunning.
  8. New to three gun and just checking out some items that I may need. I have a Beretta Pintail 12 ga. This is an inertia recoil shotgun. I can't find much info on it or find any company's that carry ext tubes for it. Does anyone have a suggestion on where to check for ext tubes for this make/model?
  9. Thanks for the ideas. I've gone ahead and purchased the RRA NM for now, and will be looking to purchase another upper in the fall after learning some more things about AR's and 3 gunning. The NM was available without having to wait 2 to 3 months, and I hope the long range accuracy will be good on this gun out of the box and that a shorter upper in the future will make it a better gun for 3 gun matches. Anyone want to start spending my fall bonus money on a appropriate upper for 3 gun
  10. Looking at the possible purchase of a RRA National Match A2 for 3 gun matches and other varied uses. Would using a NM A2 weighing over 9.5 pounds and 20 inch barrel be to much of a handicap, compared to a 16 inch 7.5 pound gun? I'm not expecting to win any 3 gun shoots, but use competition to improve my skills. The gun may also see some use for hunting, that's why I'm considering the NM2. TIA
  11. I've dug through virtually every topic on these forums without really finding an answer or opnion regarding a decent all around gun for my situation. I can't afford to purchase another AR so that's not an option, I was already surprised by my wonderful wife when she agreed to my purchase. I'm looking at a RRA National Match A2. This rifle would be used for shooting targets from a bench, some occasional yote hunting, and an occasional match, most likely 3 gun, highpower, and CMP. If I was able to make a total of 3 or 4 match's per year that would probably be the max, I'm going to my first 3 gun next week to check things out, so the 3 gun addiction could take over and push those numbers up. I would also consider using if for some prarie dog hunting on a future trip out west if the oppurtunity presents itself. Will this gun weighing in at over 9.5 pounds be a decent choice. I'm looking for a high quality gun without having to upgrade items to make it a real shooter. I know it's on the heavy side, but I'm going to want some decent long distance shooting capabilities, and I'm in decent enough shape that the weight doesn't concern me much, but looking for other folks experiences good or bad when using a rifle that's on the heavier side. I use shooting competitons with my handgun to become more comfortable with my weapons and not to win, if that makes sense. If I improve my skills from one shoot to the next, I'm happy. Thanks
