  1. I also have a couple of Gen 4 Glocks. I based my backstrap choice on the mag release, and not the trigger. I could reach the trigger with all 3 just fine, but the ability to reach the mag release without having to change my grip is what determined which backstrap I used.

  2. Shooting steel will also help you with transitions

This. Shooting steel teaches you to lead with your eyes first real quick. Eyes on target, gun will follow. If you lead with the gun you will be slow and/or inaccurate.

  3. Anyone else have issues with Berry's plated bullets in their Glocks.I shot a match today with Berrys 124 gr HP and they were keyholing out of a new 19. This was at 7-10 yards. Velocity about 1100 fps. No obvious signs of plating stripping.

I've shot the 124g berry's in multiple flavors out of a 34 and a 26, never had any keyholing issues from up close and out to 25 yards. As others have said watch the crimp, as in don't. Pull a few bullets, if you see any evidence that there even was a crimp, it's crimped too much.

  4. Anybody have a rear sight keep drifting/shifting on them? Mine keeps moving left on my G34 gen4 with standard Dawson competition rear sight. I noticed this a few months ago and had about 4-5 adjustments to it by various gun smiths. First couple of times I thought they just didn't adjust it enough, but this last time, it was adjusted so much it was actually hugging the right ridge line, but tonight at the range (after I had shot it a few times since the last adjustment), I noticed it was now hugging the left ridge line of the slide again! I'm wondering if there is maybe a dimple/groove that formed and the tightening pin is shifting into it from the recoil. Tomorrow I'm going back to a gun smith again and explain to them its not just off center, but it moves after adjustment and see if there is something extra they need to do like Loctite or torque down on it. Its starting to mess with me on small steel shots.

My adjustable factory rear drifted left in my first match. I ordered new sights that Monday (Dawson adjustable) and haven't had a problem since I installed them. Sounds like your sight was improperly fitted, they really shouldn't need the set screw to stay put.

  5. I have some and run mags for my G34. I have only run them in about 2 matches, and 5 or so live fire practice sessions but I like them. Kind of a pain to get on an outer belt. I could not slip them on had to take the bracket off and put it back on. Once on the belt you can move them around with a bit of force. My one complaint is that the hex head screw that adjusts how hard it is to alter cant and tilt is kind of difficult to get to on the first few I bought. The new ones come with a hole drilled in the middle of their logo on the outside plate that makes them easy to adjust now. (You can see it drilled in the middle of the scorpion logo on the Amazon page). Each pouch also comes with plenty of replacement screws and spacers so no worries about spare parts if you lose soemthing. I haven't had any of my pouches lose anything yet. This is the first pouch if this kind I have ever owned so I can't compare it to CR Speed/AA pouches. Seems like a decent value for the $.

  6. From Facebook Area 6 page:

You can say what you want about Paul Hendrix but he has done a very honorable thing by his act of resigning saving our sport from having to deal with a potentially long and difficult process. I appreciate his courage and unselfish contribution in so doing.

I disagree, there was no courage or honor involved with Paul's announcement. His announcement was exact opposite.

  7. really not something that can be judged by the "age" but something to be judged by maturity and the level of respect for responsibilities in my honest opinion

    This X1000

Anyone who sets it at a certain age is kidding themselves. I've seen Adults in their 20's and 30's who had no business at a match becasue their safety was poor and their attitude was crap. They were asked to leave.

If the child is 5, 8 or 15 and can handle the gun safely and had the maturity go for it. Don't push them into it though.
