Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. For the last 8,000 cycles or so there have been no problems and no changes in the press configuration. No change in powder, bullet type, weight or primer make. No conversions or toolhead changes. The only removal of hardware was for cleaning purposes only. Regarding the Leaning Tower of Pisa Brass, it only happens occasionally and when you insert the primer, thus apply upward pressure to the case. I tried to lessen the pressure with which i prime the cases, but i now have erratic primer seating depth. 8k perfect rounds, now I have issues. In the most recent 300 primers I've had an estimated 50 buckled case mouths. In total I've loaded maybe 15- 20,000 .380 and have not had any problems like this before. I'll see what I can fiddle with in the spring-arm dept. but I'm dubious. over 100,000 rds loaded this year and that little arm has touched each one without a problem. Pass or fail i'll return for an update
  2. Hello, I checked the station 1 for case insertion problems, all is in order there. Station 1 die is clean and clear The problem is happening at station 2 for sure, I saw it occur with my own eyes. Here's what seems to be happening: After the up swing on the arm(primer insertion), the brass about to be sent up on station 2 is not at a straight 90 degree angle, it's slightly off. Now I checked the retaining clip to make sure I hadn't over tightened it which would prevent it from pushing the case into the shell plate. It's loose enough to press the brass into place. I re-checked my shellplate bolt, it's tight without any springy-ness and it's the proper plate.
  3. Hello. I can't seem to shake the bucked case condition my 650 recently developed. I'm loading a batch of .380 Auto and I'm consistently getting bucked case mouths. I've double checked the shellplate, I checked the retaining clip on station 2 to make sure it was still doing it's thing. tool-head is still in alignment. Cases have a blast of ! shot into the mouths too. I'm pretty much lost right now. I'm not sure how to proceed. Here's to hoping someone here has had this same problem and wouldn't mind sharing their solution (s) First photo is how the cases appear from the front, I tried to get a shot of how the rolling looks from inside the case in photo 2. Oh. this is also happening in my 9mm luger set-up now too. It seems to be spreading. joy upon joy. Thanks for looking, Justin
