I've read mixed reviews on these.

Do they work? I bought a set of Walker and they sucked from day one.

Mine have worked quite sufficiently for five years. I did send them back once when I broke the battery door. They were replaced immediately. Since then, I have figured out how to replace the battery door should I accidentally pop them out.

Battery life isn't an issue for me I know I would be changing them every time I use them.  How is the sound quality on them? That is my biggest concern.

I would love to get a set of those but unfortunately the price of them is an issue for me.

I wouldn’t listen to music with great joy but, I can hear conversations I should not very clearly and when hunting a have excellent situational awareness.

  3. Axil Ghost Stryke II have the same NRR rating and are far less expensive for exactly the same results. However, I am not sure if this is an issue but I did buy batteries in bulk as I use one battery per ear per day of use as they drain while in storage.  On a weekend match (3-day) I find one set of batteries can last the weekend. But I do keep a pack of ten in my gear bag at all times.

The comfort and fit look to be exactly the same between the two products. I do also have a set of muffs and std. foam plugs just in case. For example indoor ranges will always require double plugs.

I have used the MGW universal sight tool for years and love it.  Im talking about the one that has interchangeable "shoes" for different model guns.  Most pistols have been super easy to change the sights and then its precise enough to get the sights centered to exactly where I want them set.  Ive used it on Glocks, 1911s, springfields, CZs, etc and other than the shield as mentioned above, they were all easy, the shield I gave up on.  It also have extra pads to remove some of the stress from the twisting of the process.  Hope that helps.

I second (or third, based on the thread) this recommendation. Buy once and never look back.

yeh dont stop during a cof unless its a safety issue, or the RO says stop..  Otherwise your gonna end up with a really bad score. Plenty of time to mention the problem after range is clear command.
Also as an RO you wont get anything out of me, until your holstered and I have given range is clear... Then we can talk.

To help educate me, As an RO, if the shooter stops mid COF, is my best course of action to simply repeat "If finished, Unload and Show Clear?"

Yeah, the competition market is probably pretty small...

But, they can spend all they can afford and more, do all the “hero” marketing they want, hire every ex-mil trainer with a beard they can get their hands on, and still, the list of real-world LE agencies who’ll allow the adoption of a single-action 2011 for duty use is still probably smaller... There is no real LE/Tactical market for a 2011 gun, it’s a fantasy.

STI/Staccato need to put all that fast-roping and door-kicking movie BS out of their minds... Most larger agencies have SOP’s that don’t even trust their officers to clear their weapons/chambers before locking up their guns in lock boxes before entering secure facilities in order to avoid ND’s, and then some of these morons show up to qual and catch days off because they’ve been riding with an empty chamber for 6 months... It’s sad, but giving the average officer a firearm is more of a liability nightmare for an agency more than anything else...this is with stone simple DAO striker-guns, a 1911-based gun with a nice trigger that needs maintenance would be like trading in all the Ford Taurus units that get crashed for Porsche 911’s...

Giving 15% off to LEO’s/First Responders might sell them a few guns here and there. But, whom ever in their company that convinced them that there are big agency contracts out there, besides a few little ones like the Texas Rangers and a tiny handful of specialty units like that who can both clear the red tape and have the budget to even consider them, is dreaming.

I just took a quick look at the sight. 3 categories - Duty, Competition, and THE WORLDS BEST CONCEALED CARRY!
I don't know, 3400 for a Limited-40 or a little more for a built-in comp and add my own dot.  Wait! I do know. No.
For that kind of money there are some well established products with a documented history.
As others have mentioned I'm not sure what agencies are going to even go into negotiation. Seems like they'd go bankrupt on the discounts they'd be required to make. Oh, wait.

  7. Rebranding is a business decision. As a distant observer, I can only guess that trying to get into the line of business that focuses on production contracts vs. the small competition market is a smart business gamble.
Now now now don't get all butthurt about your precious custom competition namesake, like S& W et. al. a division of custom, high priced, prestige models will be offered to the status conscious. this is a well established, almost standard, business model that works.

The only real way to accomplish this is to maintain a fleet of stock Glocks or whatever. Those who want to shoot the division show up and rent out their gun. Short of that, I don't see how this works or is enforced.

That might be something worth considering. If only for newbies, or first years, or first three months.
A fleet of loaners for first timers where they can compete within themselves. Although, I'm sure local clubs already have some sort of variant for that. I recall WAC (Tampa/Clearwater) advertised a type of first timer match where folks focused on safety and game rules without the 'intimidation' factor.
