  1. Fwiw it's covered in the OPSPEC DVD with Bruce Gray. The DVD is excellent, I highly recommend it.

I use this one too. I have finally gotten pretty fast at stripping and reassembly.

  2. Being a huge Sig fan I always go to their booth first at SHOT Show and it's not the first time I have seen a gun that didn't come out for a long time.

Keep rocking Alma! I thought a P320 trigger kit was coming out in July but it vaporized. I know Bruce and GGI is moving to a larger location. I hope to see you guys in Vegas for the 2017 SHOT.

I'm going to shoot it Open minor for now. Waiting on the Grayguns P-series trigger kits to get back in stock so I can put one in the MK25 frame. Then may play around in Carry Optics. Pick the one I like best.

I have the kit in my TacOps and I love it. I knew like most Grayguns kits that they would sell out fast. Nice Frankengun!

  4. I wholeheartedly agree! I recently received my CZ P-01 from them and it's amazing. I asked a question about it on the weekend figuring it would be answered during the week but no, a reply on a Saturday!

  5. Cannot put a magwell on an SP01.  Can put a magwell on a P09, regular shadow, 75b, 85b/c

    Sorry,
I thought the dimensions would be the same as my 75 Shadow.

    Thanks!

  6. I need to buy one and do it myself. Over the years I have gotten more competent with gun smithing. I have the Sig platform down and even stripped down my X-5 Competition. I'm not sure how comfortable the OP is but with all the experience on this board I am sure if we get stuck we can get some help.

  7. If you have the standard Shadow with fixed sights the front is a 5.5mm or .150 measured from the top of the sight to the top of the slide. I replaced mine with one from Dawson Precision, .160 tall X .100 wide. It's now is zeroed at 25 yards and is very close at 15 and just a touch low at 7 yards. The fiber optic from Dawson is worth the swap even if you don't benefit from a POI change. It gives a much sharper sight picture and is not as wide as the OEM front sight allowing more light on each side. It comes already drilled and with installation tools.

    Thanks a bunch!

  8. How you want to sight in your pistol is certainly your business.  I prefer POA = POI at 20 yards offhand (not rested on a bench).

As for getting it dialed in:  Spend the money for some inexpensive dial calipers!  After you get your front sight height measured, go to the Dawson Precision website and use their model that helps you determine what sight height you need to achieve zero at your desired range.  Then buy one of their front sights (or one manufactured by someone else who sells front sights, like CZ Custom in Mesa, AZ).

    Good shooting.

Thanks! I'm only using 7 yards because I can see the impacts. For IDPA the maximum distance is 25 yards. I guess 15 would be the best of both worlds. I'm going to get calipers ordered and shoot some 15 yard groups then get a Dawson FS.

  9. I have the CZ 75 Shadow with stock sights and it's shooting high at 7 yards. I rested it so I am certain. I'm using the top of the fiber optic front sight aligned with the rear. I don't have calibers to measure the front sight height yet but I'm not sure how much higher to go. Adjustable rear would probably require a new front sight too.

    Thanks!

  10. Nice! I already have the palmswell ones but was thinking about thin grips because of the safety. The texture is perfect so I will definitely get a set of the thin ones. I met a guy from Croatia at my range and he couldn't put my CZ down. I guess they are highly prized there and hard to get. He loved the grips too.

  11. I'm fortunate, he opened a shop near me. I have to admit I spend too much time down there BSing. Not to mention the high end Tanfoglios and CZs.

  12. I think focusing on driving the gun back on target is a very good thing to practice at this point. I'm nowhere near his level but what a cool guy! He is a crack up. His dry fire routine is very intense.

  13. I shoot a da/sa sig 226 and it has a little take up, but theirs no weight on the take up in single action. If you can switch triggers and shoot it without prepping, that would be ideal. Do you shoot limited minor with it right now? If so, i would switch it to da/sa and shoot production

That's what I have been shooting in IDPA. I need to talk to my mentor about the CZ because he is running a Tanfoglio and his advice would probably be different once he has it in his hands.
