  1. This is my Five inch of a Shuemann hybrid,

I have two hybrid barrels for it, One in super that use for steel (hybrid holes are straight up) I have not put any major loads through as of yet. barrel two 40 S&W ( hybrid holes are canted foward ) I use for USPSA as a back up for my open gun. The 40 hybrid barrel is very affective.2005_0114Image0009.jpg

hdgun may i ask what is your recoil spring weight for the 40 cal hybrid gun with 6 ports?

sorry to ressurect an old thread

  2. hey guys would a bomar cut sight fit in a LPA cut slide?it seems the dovetail is the same but the location is different. i was just wondering because the way i see it if i put a bomar in it it will be too far back and there will be a gap on the front where the sight pivots.but ignoring the said problems and aesthetic looks.will it still be functional? i havent tried it because i dont have the tools to remove the LPA sight.

  3. I have been having difficulty with swingers on how to engage them im still a novice with just a few match experiences. So i would like to ask the pros here. How do you train for swingers. I simply cant do a double tap on them i seem to get lost once the first shot is fired i then have to wait for the target to swing back from the starting point.

  4. Yes just a plain 6 port hybrid barrel.i thought so. Just a shame to let the barrel go to waste. I plan on having the ports covered though if i plan to use it in standard. For now im at home with classic div.

btw how much more powder would i need for such barrel? About 20% more than my loads for standard?

  5. Good day everyone. Glad i found this thread. I have a 6 port schuemann hybrid that was supposed to be for modified. Now im having it built as a sight tracker but with said ports. I just want to ask you guys what to expect? I dont plan on putting optics in it.just a fun gun built from parts sitting around.

  6. a barsto roughly costs around 450.. while the schuemann around 600..

the one being offered to me seems brand new. no signs of wear on the hood or lower lugs..

so anyway its being given at a really good price and im contemplating on leaving the holes as is. i have no plans on competing with it in standard division (already found my home in classic).

.which brings me back to my original purpose all i want is a 2011 which would be a plinker/fun shoot gun. besides i have never had a ported gun so i guess it would be a fun experiment.

another thing if im going to take the barrel may i know if i should use stronger loads for it since is is a 6 port barrel?

  7. allright heres why i asked..here in the Philippines these barrels go for about 600$..now a friend of mine has a 6 port hybrid barrel for a very cheap price.basically giving it to me as its just collecting dust..it was supposed to be for a modified division but as we all know that division was dropped..and i am starting a limited gun project.. i was just wondering on the pros and cons of covering the holes?i have always been interested with a sight tracker type 2011..

and another question, does'nt the holes interfere with the rifling?i havent seen the inside of these ported barrels.

i actually just feel it would be a waste just to leave the barrel especially for the price...

perhaps im being too cheap? im also thinking of getting a barsto instead to get it over with.

What magwell is that? I like the looks of it. And the mag pouches, what are they?

thanks for the appreciation dsa.. the mag pouches are locally made, im from the Philippines BTW..

and the magwell it is weld on from scratch..it used to be bigger but rules dictate a 5mm deep and 35mm wide magwell. i just had it trimmed. i have yet to have it blended. glad you liked it :)

  9. hey everyone newbie here from the Philippines.

some shots of my 40 single stack.

started life as a springfield milspec 38 super..some crude but very functional modifications.

the gun is hard fit and as seen in the picture it wont go into battery when guiding the slide forward..needs a push. and racking it is quite a pain. i expect it to settle in about 1k rounds.

its not real pretty but inside its all tight and nice.
