  1. So...I daily carry a p2000 SK and have a lot of holsters etc. I'm thinking of buying a p30l also in. 40, for production/L10 curious what stuff is interchangeable? I'm thinking of using the SK as a back up at matches. So does the p30l mags work in the small gun? Also will the SK work in a bladetech holster made for the p30l? Might also pick up a vp40 down the road, curious again about mag interchangeable thanks

I still think you want a CZ.

  2. anyone else shooting a P30L in production? I just bought the P30L light LEM in .40 s&w, and saw that it is not on the approved handgun roster for production division. (I posted something in re-guard to this in the USPSA rules section) looking for some guidance before I shoot L-10.....

    thanks

    Get a CZ!

  3. I bought the P-01 since I mainly shoot production with my Shadow's. They come with white dot sights which I replaced with night sights I had from my SP-01 that were just laying around. All I did on the trigger was some smoothing/polishing, 13lb hammer spring, and the extended firing pin. I left the factory hammer in it so my single action would have some weight to it. I also polished the barrel hood and the factory trigger, mostly for looks. So far it has been flawless and is quite accurate. It is one of my favorites for carrying IWB.

    cz p-01

I was wondering the same thing. I have a set of VZ's that are already cut down for a TS. I put them on top of the frame on my P-01 and it looks like the angle isn't there for the bottom of the grip; up towards the front near the magwell. I didn't want to risk chopping a $75 pair of grips to find out.

  4. I just ordered a CZ P-01 and I'm having a hard time finding a Kydex holster for it. I want an OWB with good retention. I like the idea of the Serpa CQC as I already use them for different guns but they don't make one specifically for the P-01. I've looked at the IMI Defense but I'm not sure about the quality. What does everyone here that owns one use? If nothing else I'm thinking about the JM Customs holsters, but they are pretty pricey and the lead time is almost 2 months according to the website.

  5. I was taking my CZ apart for the first time today, and when it came to removing the hammer pin, I did not have a hammer retaining pin. Should I be concerned or is this something CZ has started to do? I purchased my pistol at the beginning of the year brand new. I have a put a few thousand rounds down the pipe and never noticed the hammer pin walking..

Are you talking about the small pin that sits verticle, blocking the hammer pin? I believe its the pin referred to as a #9 pin if I'm not mistaken. You might want that there to keep the hammer pin from walking out if it has the verticle hole to accept one.
Yes pin #9. I have a channel for the pin.. just no pin.

I looked back to photos of when I dros'd the pistol and no sign of the pin. I guess I'll order one!

I may have some laying around here at the house, PM me your address and I'll just throw one in an envelope with a stamp, no sense paying the shipping if that's all you need, let me know.

  7. I went with the CZUB Czechmate magwell so that I could use the factory baseplates without modifying them.

It looks like it attaches to the gun kind of like the way the Dawson ICE magwells attach to the 2011's, using a pin through the frame, is that correct? Also, that magwell isn't so deep that you can't seat the factory TS mags with the factory base pads?

  8. have to bevel back top corner for factory wedge pad to seat with CZC magwell.

OK, what about the depth of the mag well with the factory pads, does it make them harder to seat?

  9. The Czechmate hammer is the best I've tried for a light pull and short reset:

After. Both are with a ~18# hammer spring, I have the occasional light strike with the 15# spring, CCI SRP and stock firing pin, I have a 24# spring on order from Wolff just to try...

Before I install a hammer, I hit the sides and the hooks with 3000 grit sand paper, then roll up a little piece of 1000 grit and pull it through the pin hole.

What is the factory TS hammer spring weight? I have searched but I can't find a definite answer.
  10. That's good news, so basically polish it a little and drop in, and good to go? Atlas, so in your opinion, is it worth it to swap hammers? Like I said before the trigger is already pretty good, but that little bit of creep is kind of annoying.

  11. Thanks guys for the replies. Will I have to fit the sear/safety to get the safety to work properly like I had to do on my SP-01 when I swapped to the comp hammer? The main reason I'm wanting to swap the factory hammer out is to get rid of some of the pretravel creep that I have right now. The trigger pull weight is Ok, but that little bit of creep is driving me nuts.

  12. I'm trying to figure out which CZC comp hammer I need for my TS. I put a CZ adjustable rear on it when I got it. I'm not sure if I need the standard wide or the low and wide. The way the new rear sits on the slide it doesn't look like the standard height would hit the sight but I'm looking for input on what to use.

  13. I'm a little confused about the rear sight for the TS. Can I simply order an STI or the like Bomar style sight for an LPA cut? Not relatively easy to get CZ stuff in Canada, and am wondering what will, and won't fit. Thanks guys!

The slide cut is similar to an LPA dovetail but some trimming will need to be done in order to make it work.

CZC sells an adjustable rear sight for $60 but it seems like it has been out of stock for a while.

What type of trimming? Normal sight fitting type work or work on the slide itself? I'm interested in this myself, the TS is possibly going to be my next gun but, I don't like the stock sights.

  14. I replaced the standard mag release with an extended one on my SP-01. I like it, it isn't so long that its in the way but long enough to make a slight difference on reaching the mag release.

  15. CZ 75 SP-01, DA-7lb 4oz, SA-2lb 6oz, followed Atlas's guide here in the forum. I used the CZC comp hammer, CZ 85 trigger, CGW Reduced power TRS, CGW SRS-2 kit, CGW Type 2 Disco, along with a lot of polishing. I used the 11.5lb hammer spring from the SRS-2 kit. It was night and day difference from stock.

Those are the same components that i am going to be working with. Did you have to work on the timing at all once you had everything together?

The only thing I had to work on was getting the safety to function after installing everything.
