I shoot Glocks in everything, so really don’t care. I could afford the expensive stuff but just rather not, so I won’t be chasing the equipment. Just want to shoot something somewhere with some competition. But I like the idea of separating the CO low price light weight guns from the higher end heavier LO. But in the end I’ll just shoot a Glock of some model.

Compete with 34-5 mos SRO or 17-5 mos SRO, carry 26-5 mostly and 19x a little

IDPA: "Master" in Revo with a JM625, Expert in other divisions.
USPSA: ""B" in CO is highest, "C" in other divisions.

Competition = 34-5mos for CO; or 34-5 for SSP & Production; 41 for Limited Major & CDP
Carry = 19x, trying to confident with 19-5mos, not there yet for carry

Tried the Timney trigger but reset too light for me, so just back to stock trigger and stock RSA. I have been running Glocks for games etc. since 1986 and after spending my retirement funds on trick stuff, I decided to sell all 9MM Glocks and replace with Gen 5 and use the stock setups. But a momentary weakness caused me to try a Timney, but back to stock. And happy to finally learn the trigger save a lot of cash (buy more ammo) and no worries about equipment issues or springs, or ammo sensitivity. Of course, I am not critical of others customizations, everyone gets to do it their way.

Ammo stays in range bag (2x what is needed minimum) refill ammo bag upon return after match.

Dedicated range bag for IDPA & USPA with appropriate gear in each. Don’t use anything but Glocks in 9MM so mags no issue just have whatever each game takes. Double eye and ear pro, 2each/bag,etc. I have seen my friends show up without something enough to decide this is simple solution for me. I do occasionally run a different caliber and gun type so, you know, a dedicated bag for that too. I hav been at this a long time so developed extra everything by now. Just put it in a bag and bring the bag. Done!

Situation occurred at recent Space Coast Challenge 2022 stage 5, basically gun loaded all spare ammo placed on table, on beep engage and at POC1 pickup spare ammo if needed proceed to complete COF. Competitor attempted to pickup 2 spare mags at table and stow. However he had difficulty stowing one of the spare mags and decided to leave it a the proscribed staging area and he completed the course of fire successfully without needing it. Was issued a PE for leaving ammo behind. Protested to CSO and ultimately to MD. MD said PE, however could not supply the Rule section etc. Shooters argument was the ammo was staged prior to start and remained there after his attempt to stow (consumed too much time) during the course of fire as it was not needed. And further the written COF did not specify requirement to take/remove all spare ammo to complete the COF. Shooter was still issued a PE, without a clear rule book ruling. What say the experts here?

I have both and the SAO is way easier to make a single hole. So yes!!! But I wouldn’t sell my DA/SA either,

Has any one checked the new XDM Elite 5.25 with magwell or without to see if it fits IDPA box? Is it good to go with magwell and 22rd mags for USPSA Limited, do the extended factory mags fit the 140mm gauge?

SIGS, 226, da/sa, sao, 1911’s, M-P, XDM, and now after years of back and forth still shoot Glock better at games, IDPA, USPSA than any of the others on a consistent basis. So I selling off my fleet, and buying more ammo.

looks like the slide lock spring is on top of pin in the photo of the frame on the left. that will cause the slide lock to be a little high off the frame besides other problems.

BTW, talked with a friend who has had similar issue, his advice was call S/A. Apparently they think it is a weak trigger return spring and will replace with a very slightly heavier and problem all gone. So calling S/A on Monday. And will advise when solution is reached. Thanks for your inputs.

BritinUSA, I can never get mine to malfunction dry firing only after it gets hot from live fire. If the trigger goes back far enough to fire. How does removing material, making it go back further help the striker reset? My trigger returns to the forward position and then the striker resets.

I had the same problem but after firing 150 rds. in about a 20 minute time frame. I could kind of "play" with the trigger with my finger on it and get it to go and a few times if I waited a couple of seconds it would reset by itself. the actual trigger was all the way reset but striker not. It seems to be a hot problem rather than cold when the gun cooled for say 5 minutes it would go thru 40 rounds before it occurred again.

Hello to all, Rather new (<24months) to IDPA learning a lot trolling this forum. So I thought I would. Shot some USPSA back in the 80's but took off from family and education. Came back and found IDPA locally, seems better suited to an much older slower me.
