I come here to read information from shooters much smarter then myself so I don't post often. I have been shooting my whole life and shooting correctly for about 2-3 years. I really would like to be a Master or Grand Master shooter. Im only shooting a 1,000 rounds a month right now but as I improve and components become available I will up that number.

I have the Race Masters and I don't like that it rubs metal on metal. The marks it leaves on mags are cosmetic and will just rub off but it still makes me thing the mag holder is slowly wearing out with each draw.

Since I wear muffs a lot of the time I switched to Smith Aegis Echos and then shortly after that so did a lot of the people I shoot with.

You get more protection out of your muffs, less tension headaches, great lenses, and most importantly amazing levels of protection. Lucky gunner did a test and they stopped up to a 22 short direct shot.

[Cleaning question....]

I have been using Fire Clean as of recently but Im pretty sure it is something cheaper that I am paying more for. It works very well and stays where it should so Im not complaining.

Has anyone else heard Frog Lube is just crisco? Anyone ever try lubricating their gun with crisco?

[Coating for a steel grip]

TiAlN is what I expect to be the next big coating.

Here is a little info on the hardness ratings of these coatings and while AR500 steel is a 500 TiAlN is 4200.

These are very heat resistant and abrasion resistant coatings thats why they use them on machining tools.

[What bullet for best accuracy in 9mm XDM?]

I have had great accuracy out of everything between 115 gr standard velocity to 147 gr sub sonic. I ran some 85 gr frangible ammo (I didn't chrono but it advertised 1400 fps) through it and it wasn't awesome or even on par. I ran RN, FP, HP, and all of them shot extremely well.
