You know you need to have your slide milled for that sight to fit right?

Brass prep takes me considerably more time than anything else by all considered I load about 150 rounds for each hour I invest: cleaning, sorting, checking, and loading on a 650.

Hahaha

If you put a 9mm barrel in a 40 slide it will be considered a bull barrel and not allowed in production. It might even bump your weight over the legal limit but that I'm not sure of.
Now 40 minor would be fine as stated before.

Why not go with this gun for that price?
Still kind of steep but I think I would like this gun better.

Do you want a work horse or show pony? Either way you can beat this gun in its price range. This gun fills a hole of I am a ______ fan boy and want the most expensive _______ I can buy.
I had a SAI and the whole experience was a nightmare. Now that is just my experience but I sold my gun at a loss.

I tore through tru-spec and 5.11 in about a month each when I was deployed.
I purchased some carhartt rip stop cargo pants which are slightly more costly but much much higher quality. Also I'm pretty happy to say they don't have the word tactical anywhere in the description.

I know you said not in Texas but grab a gun has a bunch In their store in grapevine decently priced.

Hold the horses... no holy grail for versa max. Got it and installed the lifter today. First thing I noticed was it's shorter. I went ahead and installed it no problem. Form and fit are good but its too damn short. Of course being so short the first thing that happened was I got my thumb caught. Also practice loading, because of it being to short shell rims actually wedge on the end of the carrier when releasing shell catch to unload. Probably going to return it and have to get lifter welded up. I did talk to Taran tactical and the "fits versa max" was from word of mouth. They also said they won't be making one for VM since Benelli is the majority of their business. Both TT and SS gracious about taking it back so the only negative is it's not really for VM.
If anyone else thinks its still fine for VM I would love to hear your experience.
Yeah it's compatible but the M2 is a 3" chamber and the versamax is a 3.5" so I would expect a .5" difference.

So, my S/S guide w/ a 13# spring works fine, all day long.
I put in the Springco system, and their 13# spring - gun shoots, shot cycles, but the slide doesn't seem to come back far enough to reset the trigger.
Any ideas?
The slide only needs to move about a half inch to reset the trigger if the bullet is cycling out of the gun than the problem isn't the recoil spring.

That's what I thought. Really sweet set up you have there. I have a vortex viper it is good not great. I got to play with the z6i and man it's sweet.

What optic do you have?

Steel has always been easier for me. I like that its hit or miss.

Hey hey not my story. Just an old guy at the range that told it to me. I believe him though.

A good friend of mine has worked at shotgun sporting ranges his whole life. I once asked him what the strangest thing he had seen was. He told me a long story but the shortened version was someone held a shotgun shell up to the action half of an over under and fired it in her hand. She said it basically felt like getting a really hard hi five but her hands were fine.
Now I wouldn't want to try and recreate the results but the moral was rounds outside a chamber are far less dangerous.
He said there was also a bar style trick where people would catch all the shot from a fired 12 gauge in a paper bag. They used a model 12 removed the barrel stuck a bag over it and pulled the trigger. The bag would catch the shot.

I tried loading some of mine outside specs just out of curiosity so I loaded some 1.170 - 1.185. They worked fine in my gun but some of them were to long to load in the magazine. I could get 2-3 in but on the 4th it would jam up real bad.
So if any of you ever wondered what would happen in that situation now you know.

Platinum would be better. A first place win would clash with my gold fronts.
You get points down in a pro am steel match for shooting after the buzzer. It's in the rules no biggy.
-
Will these medals be made of real gold and what is the estimated weight also will there be awards for participation?
Maybe a set of bad awards most points down, first to DQ, ugliest shooter? My wall is a little empty just trying to fill it up.

I'm running DAA thick grips and they are pretty nice but I have a friend who designed some and is currently trying to find someone to produce them at an affordable price and his are a huge improvement.
-
Mine is just over 5 lbs with a 10.5 lb main spring.
-
Was the slide fully in battery?
-
I'm sure what ever Atlanta arms produces is the most common used.

(And I will not criticize the Mouse Nor the Mouse House as I spent 21 years of my youth designing and building theme parks around the world, and has allowed me to buy many of the toys I get to play with every weekend)
I would love to see a match designed by you with unlimited funds. Animatronic steel plates popping up and down taunting people. Rumbas with targets and no shoots moving dancing in and out. Earthquake floors as shooting positions. Drunk singing pirates for no real reason. That would be the coolest match.

one of my friends talked to eric about the change when he saw him, and he said he shoots everything exactly the same except now he has to reload
This is interesting to me because as a production shooter I normally run stages different then limited or open shooters mainly do to magazine capacity. So your saying this guy runs the stage the exact same but reloads when he needs to? I try to break down 8-10 shots then reload on movement. I would be interested to see which ran faster by the same person.
