Run a Czechmate reliable shoots minor all day , cheap!
-
3n38 FTW! Run in both 9major and .38sc I’ll use nothing else!
-
Wolf 8lb recoil spring , runs any ammo you toss at it minor pf wise, 10 in major
-
Looking for parrot parts grips dot mount mag well basically all the colored parts that most people swap out . Picked up another Czechmate wana convert it just seeing what’s out there
-
The buffer may be the issue, you just changed dwell time, I know that on my Tangfo I had to stroke the slide to get timing right, I’m guessing you shortened stroke to the point it’s not open long enough for round to pop up in mag. Took me a while to figure this out . Take buffer out try it see what happens

Video gun in action got will tell you what’s wrong, I’m assuming to heavy recoil spring blaze is pretty weak ammo, I run an 8lb in my Czechmate, from factory. Never once did I try that heavy spring . Might be an issue never know

If ya need a emann tech trigger kit let me know I have one for a ts I’ll let go of

8.0 was 167 0 issues with ammo or mags, after 1000 rounds it’s been very reliable! I’m now up to 8.5gr on a 124 at 170-172 pf very flat! Minimal dot movement and still reliable
oal is 1.17

Meh semantics I like 124s you like 115- I’m not Gona argue about it , my chaos, check and sti all run great on 124s with little to no muzzle rise at all

You need more powder to make major with a 115. More powder = more gas. That means softer and flatter if your setup can handle the additional gas.
I feel as 124s are softer, but I’m used to supercomp . Where 115s are snappy 124s or 125jhps are noticeably flatter and don’t hit in the hand. Less dot movement as well.

Mlussoro, I am developing a load with cmj 115s and hs6. Staring at 8.6gr and going up to 8.9gr. I have a 9lb spring right now but will try a 7 and 8 to see which is is flatter. I’m considering maybe switching to aa7 powder if hs6 splatter is too dirty. Thoughts?
Aa7 major pistol autocomp are all decent powders to look at, and the obvious cost it developing loads kinda sucks, with trying different powders, I have an abundance of 3n38 so I use it in all my comp guns. Any reasoning for 115s
-
What’s your load now? I think hs6 is to punchy, gave up on that powder right away, I run 38 sc in many of my guns, the CM is my first 9major gun, 8.2 3n38 is soft with 115s as I worked my way up to 124s over 8.0 even no softer yet!
wolf 8lb recoil spring purrs like a kitten. I had thoughts of drilling popple holes for more gas but this thing doesn’t move at least for me. By the way RN or cmj can be loaded to 1.17 oal without reaming barrel and run perfect in mags. Enjoy good sir -
Went ahead and ordered ther mag release with brass button , I’ll be honest the lok brass grips and mag well tamed the muzzle of this gun really well with major loads. I am adding 2 popple holes in a v pattern just because I run 3n38 and I want more gas out the top of the gun!
-
The TSO and TS2 extended mag release options aren’t available from what I can see , out of stock everywhere. How difficult did you guys find it to drill and tap the stock mag release? Any hints tips?
-
What oal of the ammo? I run 38 supercomp in mbx mags all day long! 1.23-1.25 run without a hiccup, only issue I can see is when 38 super brass is used not supercomp brass! That’s when I had stacking issues, where the rim would catch the case below it. Check that to see if it’s an issue

Ream your barrel…then you can load any COAL you want. I reamed by barrels and can basically load any bullet profile to any length I want. I load at 1.163, just seems to be my Czechmates sweet spot
here’s my CM brass ejection pattern

The OP said he doesn't like the look or weight of a comp. A lighter recoil spring is not going to reduce recoil. It will result in more muzzle rise and a high return to zero. A thumb rest is for locating your hand for a consistent grip. If you apply a lot of pressure on it to minimize muzzle rise, you push the gun down below zero on the return.
The OP want to reduce muzzle rise and recoil. The only way to do that within his parameters is to add poppels.
OP, if you add poppels you will have to retune your gun to your load. If you like your trigger weight, you only have your grip and the recoil spring to work with. If your gun returns to POA after firing, you are done. If it returns high, you need a heavier spring. If low, less weight.
I believe you are incorrect sir, lighter recoil springs reduce felt recoil, muzzle rise as well as muzzle dip on return on slide to battery. This is how I actually tune my comp and regular pistols, slow motion camera work between each spring will show a significant difference is rise and well as dip, add that to a double tap on target, shot placement with indicate to low or high power of a spring .

Cost not issue get a cm barrel and comp , the recoil can be mitigated by grip, thumb rest recoil springs and load data, but that being said I get what you are asking. Have slide stroked, add slide cuts and popple holes added?

Very cool comp!!!
What is the ballpark delivered price in U.S. dollars?
Interested as well I emailed them but wouldn’t give me a price ?

I run an 11 for major ammo, 8 for factory, depending on what pills you are loading could be the issue, cmjs run very well without reaming a 1.16, hollows and jhps can be hitting the lands ? I know they won’t plunk in by CM but round nose and cmjs will. Ow motion video the extraction, it will give you tons of info on what’s going on

Well that sucks
