I've come into a Series 70 Natl. Match Gold Cup. I'm looking for a good competition type Kydex holster for use in SS & maybe the odd local SC, 3-gun or outlaw matchs. IIRC, the Gold Cup trigger guard is wider than standard 1911's. Can anyone recommend a Bladetech DOH or similar that fits the Gold Cup, or will any 1911 holster work? Thanks!

Higher bore axis is probably why I bought my first XD. Glock slide bite prompted me to sell my G19 10-12 years ago and buy an XD .40 Service later that same day. Until about a month ago I'd not shot another Glock; that is until I picked a Gen4 G19 from a prize table, just because, and a guy on my squad was shooting a Glock with a beavertail attachment. FWIW, I made it to the prize table shooting an XDm 5.25, one of three XDm's I now own. The G19 will probably go to college with my daughter. Until then, at least I don't go home with a bloody slide and a sore hand.

I picked up 5k last week for $100 OTD. I ran home & loaded 200 into mixed 9mm cases. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they fed & seated in my RL550. My perception is that they are easier to seat than Wolf primers. Just for fun I also primed a handful of cases with my RCBS hand priming tool; no problems seating the Tula. I shot those 200 rounds during a local club match Saturday. All of 'em want bang. I still have a few thousand Wolf primers. If given the option of Wolf vs. Tula I'm inclined to pick Tula. I'm hoping to pick up a few more cases while I can. My Tula primers are gold. I have not chronoed any Tula primed ammo.

I shot up all the 115 plated rounds & can't remember/find the OAL. BTW, This is a small sample size. I only fired 10 rounds of each load, 5 through each gun. YMMV.

My FPS notes are at home, but here's what I tested: 3.0gr Solo1k, Wolf std primers, WCC 1x cases, 147gr cast TC - hand weighed charges, low SD & ES 3.0gr. Solo1k, Win Mag primers, WCC 1x cases, 147gr cast TC - hand weighed charges, low SD & ES 3.2gr. Solo1k, Wolf std primers, WCC 1x cases, 147gr cast TC - loaded progressively on 550B, higher SD & ES. Fired all three loads through XDm 5.25 & CZ75b. Each load was faster through the XDm. IIRC, OAL is ~1.145 but I'll have to verify that. I'll try to remember to bring my notes in tomorrow.

Hi all, I just stumbled onto this Accurate data sheet yesterday. It includes published loading data for Solo 1000 in 9mm with jacketed, lead and plated bullets. It showed up on page 2 of my google results. The URL makes me think it was published in 2011. Searching this forum I don't find where this link has been posted previously. My apologies if this is old news. Search for: accurate_load_data_3.5.pdf So far, this data seems to jive with what I saw running some 147gr. cast & 3 - 3.2gr of Solo1k over my chrono this past weekend. I don't have privs to post links yet, so you have to google it on your own.

Hello, This is my first post here. I've been a USPSA (C class production) member for about a year & lurking here longer than that. I shot CAS hot & heavy for 13 years, 'till kids came along. Been reloading fo 20+ years. My kids are into shotgunning in SCTP and AIM and my son (14) also likes 3-gunning and pistol games; SC & USPSA. He's been to the MGM junior camp twice. He shoots a CZ75B Omega and I just picked up an XDM-9 5.25 for the games. I'm also toying with the idea of getting the kids into SSC or SPP, but keeping the kids in ammo is challenging. I've been lurking in the XD & reloading forums mostly. Right now I'm most interested in coming up with a 9mm minor load utilizing 147gr. cast bullets & Solo 1000 powder. I have 12-15lbs left of a 25lb. keg of Solo that I also use for the kid's shotgun ammo. Cordially, MTGlass
