Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks for the offer. Now I know the "real" reason I keep my old copies
  2. Thank you for the advice. Should I be concerned about primer seating ? I also have been told that there is a device that will make the primer pockets deeper. Do you think this is a necessary step ?. It seems that many people find "slam fires" a large concern. On another note I can not say enough good things about your press or your customer service.
  3. Hello. I currently use my 550 B fo 45 ACP and 38 special. I now own a M1 Garand. I would like to load for it. I am wondering if it is a good choice for this. I have been told by several people that a single stage is a better choice for this application. The main reasons seem to be primer depth and full length sizing. If this is correct what would be a good choice to go with ? Can I also get some honest experienced opions please ? Thank you
  4. Hello, I am new to loading rifle ammo so please forgive my lack of knowledge. I am loading 110 grain jacketed round nose. I have looked in my 48th Lyman manual and have loaded 12.0 grains of 2400 alliant powder. I have a couple of questions. The container says it is magnum handgun powder. Is this correct for my rifle ? My other question is that the case seems about 3/4 "full" of powder. Is this acceptable. I load 45acp and 38 special and those cases are no where near "full". I also realize that they use different powder and are pistol not rifle. Thanks for your help
  5. Hello. I am going to start loadind in the next week or so. Depending on When I get my new 550. I have purchased the following. Winchester 231 powder, winchester primers and surefire 200 rn cmj bullets. My lyman book does not list a load for this. I am going to be plinking so I don't think I need anything on the hot side. Could someone please tell me a good starting point for this combo ? This is for 45ACP. Thank you
