Stock sites are ok, but not for our USPSA game. Dawson sells a very nice site set for this line of guns. I just can't believe how nice the trigger is on this pistol.

Deaver? Really? Must have kin there cuz if you blink you've passed it!
Sadly, our USPSA match in Cody is on the second Sunday of each month, Billings is the third Saturday, Roundup is the fourth Saturday. But, Bozeman is having a match on 01 August. On 25 July there is a match in Shoshoni, Wyoming. All are USPSA sanctioned matches.
Cody is hosting our Greater Yellowstone section championship match on 09 August, maybe you can move your vacation a week later so you can shoot it with us - 8 stages/230 rounds!
Sadly, the timing doesn't sound like it'll work out. Bummer. Thanks for the information anyhow.

I will actually be going to Wyoming as well July 25th - Aug 1st. Staying in the Deaver/Powell/Cody area. Any matches going on in that area during that timeframe?

All of these posts remind me of why I did NOT put a slide racker on my open pistol. Much happier that way and I don't loose any time on an unloaded start stage either.

DAA Racemaster all the way.
Had the limcats, ghosts etc but DAA is the best.... for me.

Another vote for high primers. Easy fix with a little better QC. You'll get it down.

Thanks for the heads up!!

Thanks for the reply. A good friend of mine in Germany also turned me on to that one. If the Briley mount doesn't work out I'll be looking at that one.

Anyone looking for an alternative mount system for the Aimpoint Micro series sites can look at the power factor shooting store (Sean Gaines). They sell the Briley 90 degree mount for the Aimpoint. It attaches to the non ejection port side. Looks like a nice mount. Have one on order, guess I'll find out.

I have one of these on my 38SC pistol and I absolutely LOVE IT. I am looking for another one for a new open gun build. For some reason, I can't find anyone that has it.
Does anyone out there know of a place that has this particular mount? I tried to call Derrick with no answer. I tried contacting him thru Facebook, no response.
Please help.
Thanks.

I'm still looking for Hodgdon HS6 in case anyone out there in Enosland knows where some may be hiding.
Recently in stock at a few local gun shops in Ohio so it has been recently produced/distributed.
That's good to know. I'm just getting into 9mm major and I have no powder to work with. I have a few "notify me when it comes in" alerts out there. Hopefully, I hear something relatively soon. Unless of course you'd like to PM me with some LGS info (which would I would be very grateful). I only need a couple pounds to start out. I'm not a hoarder.

I just picked up a new P226 Enhanced Elite. I have had older P226's and P229's and loved them. I REALLY like this new P226 Enhanced Elite though. The slimmer and more ergonomic grip coupled with the much larger beavertail really fits nicely in my hand. The short reset on the trigger is quick as well.
While I'm a limited and/or open division guy, if I ever shoot in the production division it'll be with the Enhanced Elite.

All this turn into or away from the gun amuses me. The only difference is into the gun if you draw early the RO may have a harder time seeing it one is not better than the other
Not on that stage way it was set up.
But, you were there and shot it, right?
Did he shoot the stage? Looking into the "8 ball", here comes the reply.... Signs point to no. :-)

Off of the Wisconsin shooters website, it looks like the match will be in Augusta, Wi (Eau Claire county).

Just a few 1lb containers I'm sure would work for him. He's not a competitive shooter. Let me know if you can help out. That would be GREAT!
-
And I'm good on all the items necessary to have fun. Just looking for some titegroup for my local churches lead pastor is all. Can't find any at all.

Where is the LIKE button for this noble act?! Well done mgardner!
No shortage here. I actually sold some so others could keep shooting. After the Clinton Regime I've always stayed well ahead.

Life is good, isn't it?

Seems like nobody had that updated information when I called to confirm before I booked the flight.
Glad I now have the corrected information.
My printed invite still says Sept 21-27, 2014.

I'd like to see the option to come out and shoot full days. Start Sunday, shoot 9 stages a day for 3 days and 3 on Wed, then head home. Or start Wed and shoot until Saturday. That way people who still work for a living can get away with only burning 3 or worst case 4 vacation days.
I personally can't see taking off an entire week; not to mention the additional couple of nights accomodations and eating out. This could shape up to be a $3000+ bill and that puts it out of a lot of shooter's reach. I think attendance will drop drastically this year.
Also, what are you going to do in the St. George area for five half-days while you're not shooting? Zion is cool for one half day if you haven't seen it yet. Otherwise? Get incredibly bored, that's what...
The match is Thurs-Sunday for the main match. It's only four days, which is the same schedule you're proposing. Monday-Tuesday, staff match, Wed off to reset the stages, Thur-Sun Main Match. It's only one day longer than the previous Nationals matches with a lot more stages.
Chuck,
Are you sure about this? Everything I heard from the folks at USPSA HQ says that it is a full 5 day match. My invite said the same thing. Just need to double check the information to see if it is correct. Airplane booked already for a 5 day match.

I have a question as well. What spare parts should I order to have in my range bag while my accu is being built?
I'd get:
a slide stop or two
various weight recoil springs (variety fun pack)

Not a happy camper. Smitty on stage 1
You are welcome ))
Great video,But why did the shooter throw his mag on the ground at unload show clear.
.is that acceptable ??
I'm sure it slipped out of his hand. Smitty looks like he just let a little steam out is all. He has been an extremely busy guy. No biggie.

Magnus, You wouldn't happen to have any video of stage 11 do you? It would be greatly appreciated if you did...

Amazingly, my experience with this pistol nets zero problem with this. I was concerned at first as well. I have a high thumb hold on the pistol and I have yet to have any issues with this.
