Choke tubes! What chokes do these take? Please say M1 or M2.
Jesse,
They take the benelli/Beretta mobile chokes. So I don't think they are the same as the m1 or m2.

I ordered the nova +6 tube and it should be here on Friday. I have the 28" barrel and after seeing yours I wish I would have went with a +7. I will probably pick up a 24" barrel for it next year because they are only $189 shipped . Looks sweet though.

I shoot 150 more rounds out of my m3500 this morning. 25 degrees outside but it ran great. Most were 3 drams with 1oz shot. That takes it to over 225 light loads with 0 ftf or fte. This gun is amazing!

Gentlemen,
I first 75 rounds I have shot out of my m3500 were light loads. About 50 were 1350 fps and the other 25 were 1200 fps. It never had any problems at all. Those 1200 fps were the Winchester Wal-Mart cheapo ammo. I will shoot more tomorrow but I don't think it would have any trouble shooting 1145 fps shells. I was also shooting when it was about 35 degrees out which has caused me trouble with other semi auto shotguns.

Thank you Tom

Eric,
That makes me really excited that you didn't have to do anything. Hopefully my order will ship quick so that I can get mine finished up.

I bought a M3000 a couple months ago and with 300rds so far with no problems. I got the 24 inch and added the +6 MXT NC tube (Nova/Super Nova model NC tube). I did have to do the mod by cutting off the metal the sticks out on the stock tube and sanded down the threads a bit. Now it goes on and comes off with ease. You could just screw it on as is but the threading will be tight. if you all are up to the mod check out
.giarc01 - I took the plunge and openned up the loading port with just a dremmel tool and a lot of patience.
do you have any pictures? I'll be doing mine pretty soon

I picked mine up at Cabelas for $549 but most people seem to be getting them on Gunbrokerwhere are you folks finding the M3000?
I haven't seen any available locally I'm in the New Orleans area.
Also, what kind of prices are we looking at? i've read everything from $400 to $700 *shrugs*

Also, has anyone opened up the loading port on their stoeger yet? I am trying to build up some confidence to do mine but I am still a little worried. If you did it please post some pictures.

I just picked up my 3500 on Friday and shot 75 shells out of it on Saturday. Those shells that I shot were light loads and the gun never missed a beat I don't think the 3500 has any problems cycling light loads.I asked a gunsmith friend about the difference between the 3000 and 3500. This is what he told me.
The M3000 is a 2.75"/3" chamber gun, the M3500 is a 3.5" gun with longer receiver and stronger springs (the M3000 should cycle better with standard target loads.)[/size]

I picked up the magazine on Friday along with my m3500. I went out Saturday after cleaning it a bit and ran almost 75 rounds of 2 3/4 7.5 shot 1 1/8 oz. @ 1350 fps and it ran like a sewing machine. No hiccups, no fte, no ftf's. I pulled the trigger as fast as I could a few times and it went off every time. I watched my buddy do the same thing with it and saw a fire ball come out the side. For having less than $600 in a 3 gun that I can still take out and goose hunt with you can't beat it. Thanks again to Patrick Kelly for a great article and great info on here. I will post some pictures when my tube arrives next week.

Madison, will the july match be a classifier match?
-
Conrad, I think you were volunteered to run it weren't you?
-
Any idea when the classifier will be? How much will the big match cost?

Hey...door prize?IMAG0633.jpg
Nice looking prizes.

I know the match starts at 8 but what time should we show up?

Thank you for every one who responded to the chrono question. You guys are so helpful.
-
Chrono ammo will be collected at your first stage. You won't need 500 rounds since only 7 are collected for chrono.
So they will just pick 7 rounds from my ammo that I bring? Does that mean I can go back to my car later in the day to get more ammo.or must I bring all of it for them to get their sample?
-
Kevin,
How will the Chrono stage go? This is my first match and I don't like surprises. I heard from people that sometimes the RO randomly picks the rounds out of the shooters bag and sometimes the shooter hands the RO the rounds he wants checked. Please let me know how this will be done. I hate to load up all my mags if I have to empty them out so that the RO can pick his/her bullets. I also wasn't planning on carrying 500 rounds in my range back from one end of the earth to the other. I figured I would bring a few hundred and then go back to my car at lunch or when I got low. Long days are even longer when you are carrying around an extra 20 lbs of bullets. Thanks,Craig

I like the idea of running my carry piece for practice but I dont think I want to run my xd-s through an entire match with full power 45 acp rounds. I think I might bring it and run it in the reshoot for a few stages.

Couldn't wait for a .40. Picked mine up last night. Ordered 2 7 round magazines from midway this morning and ordered my crossbreed holster.
-
You have time. We are shooting for 300+ and so far we are just shy of 200. There will come a time when we will call the match full and lock squadding but that won't happen until very close to match timeIs their a deadline to squad? Waiting on my buddy to get his app in.
Thanks for the info Kevin.

I just got my nordic +6 extension , low drag follower, and clamp in. The nut fit just like the oem. It threaded all the way down on my m3500 with no modifications.
