  1. Livingston Gun Club (LGC) will be hosting our 6th annual Ryan Rocks!!! Charity Blast on July 6-8, 2018 in Brighton, Michigan.  "Early bird" registration for $95 ends June 1st at 12am.  June 1st and beyond is $125.  All juniors shoot for $50; please contact the MD for registration instructions if signing up a junior.  Same format as years' past  with 8 stages totaling over 200 rounds + chrono.  Entire match shot in 1 day, with competitors deciding which day they wish.  Space will be available for competitors to shoot on friday with staff.  Match gun, again built by Ryan Spencer from Spencer Race Guns, will be raffled on sunday at the conclusion of the match.  2017 raised over $21K to RROAI, so we have big expectations to live up to in order to beat it.  No refunds after June 14th.  Please check in and follow for updates on sponsors, stage designs and other general match announcements.  Thank you and we all look forward to seeing everyone again in the summer.  Jeff Gerak, Match Director

  2. It's another great year for the Ryan Rocks!!! Charity Blast (RRCB) being held at Livingston Gun Club (LGC) in Brighton, Michigan on July 7-9, 2017. This is our 5th year anniversary and it's going to be better than ever. Major match sponsor this year will be Spencer Race Guns (SRG) with the gun raffle once again being built by Ryan Spencer. Same format as before: 8 stages + chrono, 200+ rounds. This year will feature a blend of technical, accuracy and "hoser" stages to test everyone's complete skill set.

Registration and squadding will be on practiscore, and opens on Friday, January 13th at 6pm EST. entry fee is same as last year at $95. You can search for Ryan Rocks on practiscore's website or follow the link below. We have grown with each passing year and we can't let that stop is now. We have a big goal to surpass with last year raising just under $19K. This has to be our year of getting over $20K and we're that close. Our total amount raised in our 4 years so far is hanging close to $45K. Stages and sponsors will continuously be updated as they develop. I can't wait to see everyone at the range.

Cost for the class is $250, and cost for shooting the match is $95, therefore, $345 total. The friday class session will be held at our neighboring gun club, Livingston Conservation and Sports Association (LCSA) located at 8532 McClements Rd. Brighton, Michigan 48114. Don't miss out on this opportunity to shoot with truly one of the best competitive shooters in the world at a great match. The maximum attendees for the class is set at 10, so space is limited. I have a squad reserved for everyone in the class along with Bob for saturday, July 9th. Once you have signed up, please contact me so I can complete your squadding in the matrix.

    Thank you,

    Jeff

  4. Livingston Gun Club in Brighton, Michigan will be hosting the Ryan Rocks!!! Charity Blast July 8-10th, 2016. It will follow a similar format as previous years with 8 stages + chrono and approximately 200+ rounds. Stages are still being worked on, but will be posted as soon as they are approved. Once again we will be having Phoenix Trinity as our major match sponsor. We have other sponsors again this year that will help contribute as always. Ryan Spencer from Spencer Race Guns will be building another fine handgun to be raffled off at the conclusion of the match with all the proceeds going to Ryan Rocks!!!

Last year we raised just under $14,000, which was more than our first two years combined. I will continue to update everyone as more things continue to develop. I hope to see everyone return this year and hopefully many new faces. We were close to capacity last year and I would love to have us reach that point this year. It will be another fun, challenging match in the middle of our summer season.

Registration and payments can be done directly through Practiscore with the following link:

  5. Great big thanks to everyone involved with the match this year. From the staff, the shooters who traveled long distances, the sponsors, we had an awesome match again this year. It's getting harder and harder to top the previous year and next year we have our work cut out for us. We will do what we can to make it shine and have it be a memorable match the best we can.

Together with all the match entry fees, the match gun raffle and monetary donations made during the match, we raised over $13,000!!!! To put that in perspective, our first 2 years raised $12,000 combined. Thank you everyone!!! We will be at it again next year on July 9-11, 2016. Set your calendars.

    Jeff

  6. Great match for a great cause. Thanks for the good time and I'll be back next year if at all possible.

Congrats to the division winners, by the way! I learned a lot about myself, including a need to chill the hell out.

Thanks to the staff as well for putting on a kick ass match.

Sometimes that intensity helps us become better competitors. Glad you enjoyed the match and made the trip up to Michigan. We all hope to see you again and hope you return next year. We'll run into each other soon enough.
