  1. I get a warm fuzzy feelin watchin that video  Why there's not 9000 replies or viewings I'll never understand... that is right up there with sliced bread and beer! B) This is good for at least an hour worth of entertainment at least for me.

Why isn't this one of the avatar settings anyway

  2. What do you guys think of Bullseye?

Bullseye is great, good feel. also WST- very clean and soft feel. Experimeting with Power Pistol very much like Bullseye

200 grain bullets seem to always rise to the top for me mostly lead versions also tried different jacketed hollow points and SWC they all seem to be great! What is it with 200 gr bullets? why do the work so good in the 45, isn't that what the 45 was originally designed for anyways?

  3. Joe Hyams tells this story about working with Kenpo Karate master Ed Parker:

Parker got up from behind the desk and with a piece of chalk drew a line on the floor about five feet long. "How can you make this line shorter?" he asked. I studied the line and gave him several answers, including cutting the line in many pieces. He shook his head and drew a second line, longer than the first. "Now how does the first line look? "Shorter,'' I said. Parker nodded. "It is always better to improve and strengthen your own line or knowledge than to try and cut your opponent's line."

short_round has the answer to my Aug 28th post

  4. I went from the cheapy foam to the peltor 6s. It was nice for a while but the electronic stuff doesn't have the noise reduction of the foam sqishies and now I pay the price with some hearing loss.

I'm with kimel use the foam and the electronic muffs this works pretty good and hey! you only have one ear., well most have two.. you get the idea B)

  5. I have worked in the service tech position at a fireplace shop for about seven + years and I would love for any of the above people go with me for a day. Might have another angle to view this frustrating problem from.

As far as comcast I had a different experience.

    Best wishes

  6. maybe this is a little late in reccomending this.

I was taught to place my thumb atop the hammer either in DA or SA guns then holstering

Marc C showed me this and I do it all the time now.

went shooting many times and never had a problem over the years I just learned of this a year ago and now I can't understand why everyone doesn't do this. I see people just JAM the gun it the holster and not even think twice OUCH that's goin to leave a mark!!!

This should be one of the fundamentals

  7. Have as much fun my second year(2005) as the first and shoot a little more consistently

Most importantly, shoot with the GREAT people in the sport(uspsa) of the northwest and beat them with a cheap gun and no practice :P:D:P:DB)

This was meant to be funny I really do like the shooting with the people in the northwest they're a great bunch!

  8. that should be about 64%

64.2968 as of dec I wish I could of shot this with my L-10 gear and and had such a good run, I'm going to keep hammering on the pontoon gun a few more matches if I can do this good with it I should be able to do anything with my regular gear :PB)

  9. shot production with a ruger p89 and some funky unkle mikes holster and mag pouches. 6.1082 HF (is there a pistola out there with a more unforgiving reload than this one?) RUGER P89"(the pontoon boat of boats for pistols)" says froglegs.. is this agood classifier?... I'd think anything above TWO PERCENT would be a good day! :DB)

Betwinckted the BACARDI and the poor math skills could this be B-class score?

    THE BELOVED FROGLEGS

Hey the taste like CHICKEN! :D

  10. Just added the Browning Buckmark Camper to the mix it fits all my grip options freestyle, strong, weak hand and similar to the 1911 in feel. It shoots very accurately by my standards(no problems hitting the clay pigeon pieces on the fifty) and it likes alot of different kinds of ammo. The trigger pull is also much smoother than I'd thought not sure what the weight is but it's nice to shoot. Only comes with one mag(what a rip) but for $219 out the door new I can only complain so much!

Froglegs say... the Buckmark Ooooo.K. B)

  11. Probably just another crazy idea from the froglegs but here goes

Shoot it as you would any other day and at least get your hits, might as well have the satisfaction that you can hit the target if you want to or if you really had to. There's no joy to be found in shooting a stage really fast and having even a single miss to me that feels like CRAP I'd rather go slower and at least damage the paper. If you can't duplicate your score it was just luck and that only feels good for a little while.

Going at my own pace has by what means allowed me to become a B in uspsa its beyond me but when I take my time I do well and when I hurry I shoot barely low C or high D if I'm lucky.

Any time I've shot well I felt like I was slow when shooting and it's surprising to find out how smooth and fast it was when other people tell you that.

Im just a newbie myself, started in april this year and that's what worked so far.

  12. So I figured, with the state IDPA match coming up, "Y'know what? SCREW this 'shooting faster than you can hit' stuff. Especially in IDPA where accuracy is King. I'm just gonna shoot as fast as I can hit, no faster, and let the chips fall where they may." Realistically I knew I had a chance to win the match in CDP but it just wasn't a major consideration for me.

When I can maintain this one thought I shoot my best and have a great time. It would be great to do this at will! B)

  13. It seems this is a choice of being able to duplicate the score, can I do this every time? it depends on the stage. Some stages can be shot with all a's just as fast as alpha charlies some cannot. The difference between the two is clearly not understood by all, the vote split by 50/50 proves positive! The longer the shot the more the A/C thing comes into play is just one issue.

Here's an example, if you take three targets(uspsa) place them about one meter apart the fastest way to shoot them is with the gun on the move period(physics)... if you start at one end of the array the first shot just enters the A zone then on the other end of the A zone on that target followed by the same pattern on the rest. It will become obvious to the shooter at a certain distance that this same thing applies to even getting into the C zone applies to the greater the distance the targets are engaged at, the hits should be nearly horizontal with nearly equal split times.

THE distance that effect this result would be proportional to the shooters class, the better the shooter the longer the distance. B)
