Has anyone had any experience with Freedom Munitions 40 Cal ammo in a 1911. Just picked up a Sig Max in 40 and was looking for to pick up some reliable factory ammo until I can get set up to load 40.

I have been in a league for nine years where we get to keep eight players the first couple of years it is people hanging on to their best players without much movement. As teams draft young players with long term potential you will see more trade activity especially for draft picks in the offseason. If you are in a league with good players who stick around for a while it is more fun than having to draft a whole new team each year and the drafts don't take all day since it is only eight rounds.

Just curious, wasnt at least one of the stages a classifier? If so it doesnt show up on my USPSA page as a classifier score.

Stage 8 was the classifier. The usually don't post them till the 16th every month.

Went and bought a rain suit today just in case. At least with all classifiers we wont have to run through the mud all that much.

I use the following pattern 12 o clock then 3 o clock 3 o clock 5 o clock and 5 o clock works very well.

[Springfield Range Officer Vs. XDm 5.25]

well, I orderd a 1911 loaded black target stainless from Springfield directly over a year ago. They then told me that this year they discontinued that model, and after much beating around the bush I had them switch out that order for an order I had placed for an XDM9 5.25 seeings that if a mag ban goes through I'll have the mags already. I can always get a 1911 later. With the difference in price I'm going to use the leftover money to get a Powder River Precision trigger job done.

Shot maybe 200-300 rounds through it this weekend. Shot Great! First mag I put through it was on a steel torso plate at 100 yards, prowd to say that even with me being 110% noob, I landed 10 out of 19.

I did have one malfunction, empty case standing straight up in the ejection port as it tried to load another round. I contribute it to a crappy grip on a hasty draw. Also, on every mag I had a failure to lock back... Looking at my grip, I am riding the slid release like a nice comfy gas peddle, so first, I'm going to load up all 7 of my mags with 1 round, shoot with thumb well away from release, and shoot 1 haned to see if that fixes the problem.

If that does fix it, I'm going to look for either a flat sided slide release lever, or just cut the tab off.

If it's not me riding the release lever then I'm going to try different ammo.

I use a XDM 9 5.25 and have the same slide lock issue if I don't pay attention to my grip and ride the release other than that I have never had a malfunction or any problems.

The last bulk purchase I made was from luckygunner.com you have to check their site regularly as they only post what they have in stock, when they do have 1000 round 9MM deals in stock the price has gone up about $400 from the last order I received from them a couple of months ago. Good luck hopefully things will go back to normal soon.

I shot my W German P226 in production it is the same dimensionally as all the current models and fits in the box, I only quit using it because mine has a brushed nickel finish and I was beating it up using it in matches.

I am left eye dominant and shoot right handed and have not been able to shoot accurately with both eyes open, anyone else have this problem or suggestions on how to work around this.

[XDM 9mm competition]

Better trigger and some load development, Mine shoots under 3" at fifty yards. To me it seemed that length was a major thing in better groups.

I had the same experience with OAL. 1.135 sucked. 1.150 to 1.155 was way more accurate. 147 grain MG CMJ with Titegroup grouped high left and wild! My most accurate load for my XDM 9 is 124 Grain MG CMJ with 4.2 grains VV N320 @ 1.155.

Springer Precision did my 3lb trigger job perfectly.
