  1. Well I shot 300 rounds of freedom munitions today. No issues with my tuned 140mm. Only problem I had was round stuck on the feedramp using the slide release to load the first round out of a 126mm. But when I slingshot reloaded there was no issue. The 126mm are untuned, looking at the hang up I'm sure a tuned mag wouldn't have a issue.

are "tuned" mags that important? STI says they will run from factory or they will fix or replace them. Is there a percentage in how often an untuned mag will cause issues? I see a lot of conversations in regards to tuning mags. Have them done? Do it yourself? Don't worry about it?

  2. Okay so I suck at shooting targets and photos. If you break out your magnifying glass you can see the front cuts. I personally think it looks and is great. There are identical to the rear except the are a little deeper; which had to be done to remove all the factory markings.

  3. I took one of my 17s to a local machine shop; showed him a picture at a couple days later it was finished. Mine is more for front serrations then lighting but had great results and didn't have to send it off if you aren't local to a custom shop.

    Got a picture?

I've always thought it would be cool to have front serrations on a Glock... Doesn't look like Gaston will give them to us...

    stand by.

  4. I bought 2 (1 for each of my Gen4's) when the second batch was in stock on ~Nov 1st.

Put 300 round through my 17 today. Had 2 rounds that hit the ejection port wall and went straight up @ 12 o'clock.

Ejection is more consistent. Not sure it's a 100% fix yet, but better than stock definately. No brass to the face today.

cool; where did you find them?

  5. If you carry the 19 I would not do any mods to it. You don't want to use it to defend yourself and end up in court explaning why you modified the trigger or put a mag well on the gun so you could reload faster etc. Those things do not go over well with a jury.

You need at least 2 guns, one carry and one for fun stuff like USPSA matches.

kind of jumps the post but I disagree. Why do "mods" to the gun? To make it easier to shoot; hand fit, trigger pull, accuracy, assist in reloads, lights, lasers,...... "Mods" in a courtroom only come into play if the weapon had some mechanical malfunction and injured someone.

Regardless if you shoot someone with a STI/SVI that has been tricked out or a High Point; do the right thing and you are okay.

Compete with what you carry; it's great training that most CHL holders don't do.

  6. Funniest thing I ever saw...brother took a chicken and shoved its head up our horses a_-hole just after it took a dump and its tail was up. Chicken started kicking and the horse took off like a rocket.

Never take your new BB gun and shoot the bull in the "sack" while he is "sleeping". Brother did this and found that the race to the fenceline is too close for comfort.

Oh man I'm crying I'm laughing so hard!!

I think we have a winner!!

    holy crap! funny stuff :goof:

    crying right now! :roflol:

  7. I was talking to Rob earlier this week. Sounds like the format may change a little and hopefully they add some more regional/state matches like the Area 3/Missouri state championship and the Arkansas section championship so that more shooters get involved in the semi pro deal.

Did he give you an idea of when that will be posted? Like I said, with SMM3G opening later this month, Surefire open, and RM3G opening in December and the list goes on, it would be nice to know.

Not sure how I feel about Area/State matches being included also...it seems like it would be harder to get points at a National level event, and if that is all you go to, you might be competing for points with some guys who just happen to have 3 area matches close to them. Point being, not as many big names at area matches so easier points, and I find it hard to justify time off work and $1000 in travel to go shoot an area match. I think I might actually be mad if say I had 250 points from shooting National matches, and some dude that shot 3 area matches beat me out with 251 points.

you would be pissed no matter how you lost. Especially if it was by 1 point

  8. Only one handgun?

    thats just crazy talk

+1!! Crazy! You can't have too many. One for everyday of the week....for a month.

I carry and conceal a 17 everyday and shoot one in production.

  9. Find what works best for you and the environment you will be shooting in.

You MAY gain speed in a fiber optic but gain more accuracy in all black.

Front-either fiber or black serrated; Warren is slightly wider then Dawson's, they also have different LPI, both top notch and priced similar

Rear-Warren Sivegny Comp has a150 notch; nice and wide open, smooth (no serrations) really cuts down on eyes drawing to rear sight, Dawson Charger also a great option with a 145 notch

great thing about sights they are easy to change out
