  1. You'll want to get the GG competition trigger kit if you wanna lower the pull weight. The only downside with the GG kit is that it feels less clicky and less crispy. This is based on my experience comparing it to a standard X5 trigger.

Does anyone know the exact differences between the standard X5 trigger and the Legion trigger??

  2.

How do I tune my X5 using recoil springs? I have never ventured into this before. Always bought a gun and just shot it the way it was out of the box (other than trigger upgrades). For my X5, I recently picked up a GG Fat guide rod and some 1911 springs in various weights and I plan on tuning it to minimize recoil.

So can you guys point me in the right direction on how to start? With any given ammo, should I start with a light spring and then work my way up until it won't cycle properly? What if I get to my heaviest spring and she still cycles fine? Is there such thing as too light of a spring that might result in unnecessary stress to the frame? Are there other factors I need to look at like ejection pattern?

they may make one for you.

    Call them on Tuesday.

    I've found Dawson very accomadating!

Appreciate the input.  I'm sorta surprised they don't already make something.  I find the FO front sight distracting with the Romeo1 dot

Got my trigger kit from Gray Guns

    Install was simple

    Went from 7.5 lbs to 3lbs- 3lbs. 4 ozs

3.2 avg of 5 pulls on Lyman gauge

I'm impressed, worth the money! IMO

Straight or curved trigger? Or does it matter?

The pelt2 alone reduces pull on the x5 by a very small amount. Most ppl report .3 - .5 lb. I put one in mine and could tell no difference by feel.  In my opinion the pelt2 alone is really meant more as a flat trigger upgrade for standard 320’s with a curved trigger. The rest of the kit is (sear and springs) is where the real change in pull comes from in an x5.

Thanks for the information and clarification. Embarrassed to say that since receiving the Pelt2, I have yet to install it. So now I will just wait for the rest of the kit to show up before installing. Thanks again!

The kit MUST be used with the PELT2 trigger on an upgraded P320. So the results will be the same as everyone has been reporting ~3# trigger pull with less over travel and less spongy feeling on the break.

Got it. Thanks again for the responses!

If you already have the PELT2 you want to buy the kit with no trigger ($50). If you buy the kit with a flat or curved trigger, that will be a PELT2 - they are designed to be run together.

Appreciate the response. Reason I ask is because yes, I already do have the Pelt2 trigger and based on the description, this alone would lower the pull weight on the X5. I was just wondering how running the combined Kit + Pelt2 would change this.

  8. Are you guys running the kit AND Pelt2 trigger or just the Kit alone? What can you expect if you ran both the kit and the pelt2 trigger together? Tried looking on the GG site but it doesn't mention anything specific to the X5.
