I am told that if the set screw slips it can cause the gun to go auto for multiple rounds, or engage the safety preventing firing. True they are loctited in place but guns get hot perhaps enough to loosen up the loctite. I'd rather just fit the gun or pay to have it done if I was not confident. These aren't 450 dollar glocks, I can't imagine going cheap here.

Now this is actual nonsense [emoji23]

I don't like it. I have two s2, both with 11.5 hs. The short reach kit has a worse trigger pull. I believe this is due to the reduced leverage of the shorter pull. I'd rather reduce the size of the grip if reach is a concern. I also think the adjustable sear is nonsense. I feel just springs and extended fp is the easy to go on an s2.

The adjustable sear isn’t really meant to be a performance upgrade. It’s meant to be really easy to fit to the safety. Which it is.

Push down on the part of the seat that engages the safety. It’s directly above the P in spring.
That will rotate the seat down. Then push the left hand detent back with a pick and at the same time push the safety in.
Don’t worry about hearing a click.
If you haven’t already, try fitting the left hand safety into the right hand safety out of the gun. Sometimes they need a little fitting.

A CGW TRS was one of the first things I put in my gun.
It’s probably got 20k+ live rounds and the same amount of dry trigger pulls on it now.
Even if they lasted a fraction of that time they are so cheap & easy to replace it’s still worth it.

As Ben Stoeger says, you are your own jailer. You can choose to put up with it... or not.
For lesser mortals though, sometimes it’s better to smile & nod than be “Range lawyer” that all the RO’s hate.

What is Shellite might be a auto spell check screw up lol
Wax & Grease remover from an auto store would work as well.

You can't live the 170mm life with an S2 frame.
Yes you can

Crush the gun with your support hand. Relax your strong hand. Pull the trigger smoothly.
Having an acceptable sight picture and not disturbing the sights when pulling the trigger are not the same thing.
If you haven’t already, read Ben Stoeger’s new book, Breakthrough Marksmanship.

The “function” of the safety is point 3 as described by CGW. This remains unchanged using CGW parts.

Clean the holes as described. Use shellite to degrease and use a fresh bottle of red loctite

Using a CGW hammer or disco in a Shadow 2 DOES NOT change the function of the safety.
However, CGW hammers & disco’s being IPSC Production legal is a more complex question that has not been clearly defined as yet. IMO they are legal but you could be in trouble if you come across a BOC Range Master at a match.

The disco doesn’t effect the function of the safety

PDO Light is a dumb idea and should have been drowned at birth

Is it possible to use it in IPSC Production? It seems like safety won't work like expected so it won't be allowed
Why do you think the safety won’t work?

I agree.
What if a prop is hit between the targets and but the bullet passes through and hits the back berm?
I would argue that if there are 2 targets 10 feet away from each other and someone puts a round downrange right in the middle it would be an AD in the sense that the shooter did not want the gun to go off at that time. But, per the rules, it is not an infraction or DQ’able offense but it would still be an AD by most accounts.
Is that unsafe gun handling because the gun went off when the shooter did not intend it to?
Is that “moving” because the shooter is changing arrays even though his feet didn’t move?
My point is where to draw the line? If the rules state less than ten feet is ok if target is less than ten feet. If target is 3 feet and low on the ground, is 2 feet ok? 1 foot? What if the target is only 2 feet away?
Don’t make up rules. Apply them as written.

how rounds u shot with this gun?
About 30k through the practice gun.
It’s a pre-production Shadow 2

I’m confident it can handle it with no mods. I’ve been running 140+ PF ammo through mine for a year with no issues.
Just work up slowly.
I used to shoot 9 Major in my Czechmate in standard config (no comp) all the time.

Rowdyb I know you want to compete with a legal gun but this saga with what’s legal and not legal in PD has been going on since the start of the division.
The new rules were meant to clear things up but unfortunately the intent vs execution for messed up.
Most people I know run of an “intent” interpretation of the rules and know that in reality it is highly unlikely that they are going to be asked to disassemble their guns at gun check...

I use the same thing for the same reason.
Keep using it. Next time an RO gives you grief show them how it’s not permanently attached and they should leave you alone.
