Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. problem persists, probably gonna send it in. Gotta have something to do with the trigger bar/firing pin safety. When this happens there is no mark on the primer whatsoever.
  2. Yep, plenty of slag in the channel. Couldn't even see the cleanouts at the face because of so much buildup hopefully that takes care of it. Need to remind myself to get a can of syn safe gun scrubber though...
  3. nevermind, it does... found the armorers manual Will be cleaning and clearing channel first chance. Maybe s&w will send me a new assembly if I whine enough.
  4. well, the gun went bang, happy with how it shoots, almost. Probably shot around 120rds and had 3 light strikes, not happy about that. Any suggestions? If it were my glocks I would completely tear it down and clean everything. Does the m&p striker assembly come out the same way a glock does?
  5. thanks guys, and that link was slightly confusing but I liked his final verdict... First this: "The main downfall of the M&P 9mm is the wildly varying accuracy thanks to some QC issues and design flaws. The M&P 9 barrel uses a tragically slow 1:18.75" twist, which does a poor job stabilizing heavier bullets." and then... "My 3 primary M&P 9mm's will all shoot 3" or better at 25 yards with any 147 grain ammunition that I feed them, and two of them have printed 2 5/8" standing offhand at 25 yards with 147 grain. That works for me. However, all three of the guns shoot about 6-8" at 25 yards using 115 and 124 grain ammo. My solution at this point is just to stick with 147 grain." Got a match tomorrow and will be slinging 147s down range!
  6. just bought a 9 pro series (the 4.25" one). Wanted to know if it should run just fine with 147 grain loads. If it won't play nice what kind of recoil spring should I be looking at to make it work? I'm a glock guy primarily, not even sure what the stock spring in the m&p is rated... thanks in advance
