Are you asking about a powered feeder?
The quick and easy version was to use a Hornady bullet feeder die and some clear hard tubing for a fish tank to make your own bullet feeder. I still have one of those setups on a toolhead and it works great for about $30 in parts. Only real downside was the limited amount of bullets that could be held in the tube (between 20 - 50 depending upon caliber) before it would tip over. Just meant having to have multiple tubes and refill them like the primer tubes.

I've a bunch of different earmuffs, looking for the same things as I teach, RO, and shoot and want to hear what's going on. The best I found so far is the Dillon electronic earmuffs. I know they're made by someone else and I used to know who, but can;t remember it off the top of my head.

I would also suggest using the EGW U die for resizing, along with a Lee Factory Crimp die. For seating, it really comes down to if you want the ability to fine tune the seating depth with a micrometer knob or not. Hornady and RCBS both make good options, I'm not a fan of Redding at all.

I've used many thousands of those heads in multiple Glock pistols for years with great results. The only one I couldn't get them to shoot well in was my 34. I use 3.5 grains of titegroup and seat them to 1.107, which is on the shorter side. I've never thought of titegroup as snappy, but everyone has different experiences.
If anyone has a thought as to why they wouldn't hold accuracy in the 34 as well, please let me know. Thanks

You kind of nailed it, that each model has its pluses and minuses. I'm of the same opinion, I like the feel of the 17 overall the best. The longer radius of the 34 is nice, but the recoil benefit doesn't seem enough. I actually like how my 30 shoots for GSSF and other games even though its so short.

I've run one in an older (early 2000s) Kimber for at least the last 10 tears and love it. As you may have read the recoil impulse is a bit different from a standard guide rod and spring setup. However, once you get used to it, I don't even notice it. I love how it allows me to run all variety of loads in the gun without having to change spring weights.

Thanks Sarge, that was the only "upgrade" I could think of but was curious if there was some other performance benefit to some other version.

I made the same mistake once and mine came out a pinkish purple color. After reading the same info you did, I didn't think it was worth the risk to try them. In my case they were 38 supercomp.

I've used and installed many of the Dawson fiber front sights and myself, I usually use the green fiber as I like how it still lights up like a fiber optic but doesn't "interfere" as much as the red to me. Dawson is great to work with and makes great products.

I've had mine for years and the only problem I ever had was user induced. The support from Doug is very quick and very helpful. That being said, if you use the machine as directed, I think it's very consistent. Like with a reloading press, take the time to set it up properly, even though mine came perfect from Doug. Similarly, if you use fast jerky motions, you get inconsistent results. When you insert a case, hold even pressure and give it a half twist.
I use mine for ammo for highpower, mid range, and all the way up to Palma and know others I compete with that have the same setups. I started with a Wilson hand turned trimmer, but it was too slow and I get the same precision with the Giraud.

I had that done on a 550 and 650 that were going back for a refresher anyway. IIRC, they did it for free. You can buy just the bearing with the zerks installed, but its easier to let them do it unless you have the tools to do it right.

I looked at those also. Any reason you suggest those?
I noticed on the picture the part that would thread onto the barrel seemed a bit short, but that may just be a bad picture or its a rim to go over the barrel. It also looks like the bottoms of the ports are rounded, which may make cleaning a bit easier.

I have a S&W 41 with a bully barrel on it and its a blast to shoot in steel challenge, but I'm frustrated at how hard it is to try to clean the comp with all the little holes in it. Has anyone used a different comp on a similar setup? I was looking at the Carolina Crusher comps as they appear easy to clean and seem to be popular because of their proper functioning. Thanks

Most sites like this one it's up to the buyer and seller to set whatever terms in regards to payments, etc. You're correct to ask about the things you did, but other than that it's the leap of faith like you mentioned. Only other level of protection is if it's a firearm, it having to go through an FFL.

the tubing you order is the right size to fit directly into the bullet feeding die, there's a small lip that holds it in place. So all you need is the die, some tubing and I used a cotter pin to hold the bullets in place while you put the tube into the die.
