  1. Any recommendations on brand and place to purchase a replacement barrel for glock 19. I'd like to shoot reloads/ cast bullets and don't want to risk the whole barrel kaboom issue. Too much controversy over the oem barrel. I clean after all outings but still don't want to take even a questionable risk.

  2. What am I looking for with cleaning? Is the purpose of cleaning to get the inner casing clean or the outer casing clean?. Again, I'm new to reloading so I want to be sure I'm not missing any safety steps. Most of the brass I fire once still seems very clean at least on the outside and it would seem I can run it through the press a second time at least with no issues. Is this wrong or dangerous?. I want to be sure I know all the reasons for cleaning as I'm guessing it's not just to make the brass look pretty and shiny.

  3. Thanks bisley. Great information. I'll look at those other websites and do some reading. I have a real nice 357 that I really like to shoot but I don't want to harm the gun as I'd like it to last a long time if possible. That being said... The gun is no use nor fun if I don't shoot it.

  4. Not sure which forum this belongs in best but we'll see what responses I get here. I shoot mostly lead cast bullets for plinking. Talked to an old reloader the other night about lead fouling and he says he follows every 25-50 lead rounds with a gas-checked round and he states this removes a lot of the lead fouling in the barrell. Anyone else heard of this or do this? Anything to make cleaning easier I'm certainly for.

  5. I've been shooting for a long time since I was a kid but I've decided I needed a new hobby so I decided to get into reloading. So far I'm really enjoying it but I'm learning that everyone has a different opinion on different loads. I figure it's like anything else...I'll read a lot, get everyone's opinion then figure out what works best for me. That being said, any recommendations from veteran shooters and reloaders is greatly appreciated. I'd like to know what resources you guys go to when you're looking for information, especially reloading. I was referred to this site by a fellow reloader/shooter and I'm finding plenty of good information. Any other suggestions as to websites, magazines, manuals? Thanks in advance for any advice. I'll post what I know when appropriate to help out as well.

  6. I have recently bought a used Ruger P90 and the slide doesn't want to fully close some times as if the recoil spring is getting a bit weak. It is possible the prior owner even replaced it with a weaker spring as he shot competitively with the gun some. Any recommendations on which spring to replace it with in terms of pounds? Will be using it mostly as a plinking gun at the range.
