First of all I realize that eveybodys time is valuable and so I thank anyone who responds in advance. I m new to the forum and have been searching for my answers but just not coming up with what I need to know. I want to start shooting SS and am getting ready to order a STI Trojan CRP 45. from Dawson but it will take a little time to get (middle of may if I hurry). In the mean time I have a Colt Commander 38. super to use, but I don't want to spend a bunch of money on gear only to have to get something different when new gun arrives. I think I will be able to use the same mag pouches, belt(obvious one). I plan on getting enough mags with Trojan to start shooting right away when it arrives. My Colt is pretty much stock except for the trigger work that has been done to it. I would have to buy mags, mag well and some sights for it. I haven't decided on a holster yet for either one. Looking for advise on what to do. I m buying a CR Speed Belt, CR Versa Mag pouches, and have been looking into Comp-Tac and Bladetech holsters. Thanks again I figured it never hurts to ask.

Im not sure where Im headed right now. Looking to do some shooting other than at paper on the range. I am gonna start with production and possibly single stack 1911 and see how it goes. As of right now just looking for some fun and good times with good people.

@ Sarge, not to disappoint but the BuckFever is directly related to My love of Whitetail hunting. Not much of a sports fan unless it has to do with the outdoors or now SHOOTING! Thanks for the ammo advise and the Hello.

Hello My name is Matt England and Im new to the forum. Getting started into USPSA and any info and advise would be greatly appericated. Im taking part in a USPSA101 class April 7th at Livingston Gun Club and shooting Match on April 8th at same location. I will be shooting production division with my HK USP Compact .40 cal. Gathering advise on Gear and getting things prepared for April. I think I have a good handle on which direction Im heading with holster, belt and Mag pouches. I do have a few questions about ammo. Im not able to reload at this moment but I am curious to what ammo anybody could suggest to start with. Looking forward to having some fun with great people.
