Don't know the Toni, but the EGW LPA plate (not the EGW Tanfo LPA plate) will fit the Edge rear dovetail.  It does not have an angle (or not much), so you may need to use a dot with a lot of vertical adjustment or get an angled shim.

I made a similar one with the angle built-in and it works fine for Limited Optics on my 9mm Edge.  People sometimes make disparaging comments about the height over bore (which is still far less than an Open gun), but then I get to laugh and say "you got beat by a dude with a homemade scope mount" at the end of the day.  :D

I have an Edge with EGW plate. You need Bomar not LPA. Made the mistake by ordering the LPA version and came to find out that I needed the Bomar instead.

I never looked at making my releases fit the J frame, didn't think there would be much of a market for them.

I will be making some new releases in the next couple of months (winter stock up) and I'll look at a J frame sized

unit that will fit IDPA rules, I'll let you know.

    Ok cool thanks 🤙

Yup, what fishhunter3 said, the oval window in the frame is about .01 narrower and the nose of the new release (part towards the recoil shield) will need to be trimmed back a bit.

I just tried to put a new one on my 642 and that's what I see I'd have to do to make it work.

Is this for carry or bug gun matches ??

Below are the 2 part numbers for the 2 sizes from Brownells.

Well I just stuck a Hogue long onto a current 442 and it seemed to work ok.

I think I have a few Hogue’s and TK’s kicking around if you want me to try them on any particular guns? Or I could send you one to try before you buy? Any shops or locals guys to you might have one you could text fit?

I actually have couple Hogue on N frames and didn’t bother to try it on the J frame. I’m going to give it a try . Thanks

Went to the range yesterday and shot this group. Same as last time, doubles @ 20 yards splits about 19, this time with the Scheel buffer and a shorter stroke plus a slight tweak to the springs. This seems to be slightly better than last time.

What’s your spring configuration  on the Scheel buffer? I’m going to try weak in 1 and strong in 2 and 3 slot

It's the taccom adjustable buffer with the short stroke bumper. When I originally shot these I didn't plan on starting this thread. Perhaps I'll update it as I continue to test setups, maybe the info will be useful. Anyway the minimal difference in results here have a considerable cost difference. I also had some initial trouble with the Scheel buffer which I think I've worked out by switching to a JP bolt. I'm assuming just my combination of parts didn't like each other.

The JP bolt doesn't really pair well with the Taccom Delayed buffer which might be a better comparison to the Scheel.

Next trip to the range I'll do the same test with the Scheel but this time running about a 16mm shorter (5/8") stroke and increasing the tension on the rollers with a additional spring. I think this stroke will be more similar to the Taccom, maybe even still just a touch longer. I can still manually engage the bolt hold open, if that gives you a idea of the length of the stroke.

I've tried that JP bolt Taccom delayed buffer combo which resulted in a burst fire with hyperfire trigger combo. I didn't really like the sharp recoil it gave. I'm using the Taccom adjustable buffer at the moment.

It shot good but I didn't really like how it felt. It was not one of the setups in this test. The one I'm leaning toward is the Scheel delayed buffer. Still allot I can do with it too fine tune.

    So which buffer is T?
