I got a Pro Comp 40 in trade for my son and I to use in SS division. Like Paul, I have yet to shoot it in a match. I have also shot several hundred rounds working up loads and getting it set up like we want it. I converted it from the series 80 trigger and the trigger pull is fantastic. I got a used Dawson Ice magwell and had some fitting issues. Once they were taken care of the gun is just about ready for its first match. I can't wait to give it a run.
That said, if I was going to buy one outright I would probably go with an STI over the Para. If only for the series 70 frame.
Shouldn't the main difference be because Series 80 has a firing pin lock safety?
anyone put a 22LR conversion on the para comp yet?

Can someone do a side to side comparison to the STI Trojan .40?

Picked it up yesterday from Sooner State Pawn in OKC. His distributor had 10 on hand last Friday. Spent last night disabling grip safety and working on trigger. Trigger needs ALOT of work. I think I got it from 40# to 15# Installed a Dawson Ice magwell. Had to drill out one of the grip screws. Taking it to have a holster made today. Dawson mag bases do not fit their tubes. Next match is going to be interesting.
Anyone has grouping pictures out to 25 yards/50 yards?

Why are people using 10mm mags vs 40S&W mags?
To run longer ammo in SS frames.
What are the benefits of longer ammo? Better loading for power factor?

This is what I heard from Travis a few weeks ago:
Para's new "Pro Comp 40" is now in production! This is our premium 40S&W single stack 1911. Specs: -
Travis Tomasie Sir, Thank you for asking. It's looking like these will go into production within the next 3 weeks. I will make an announcement to confirm production. Thank you! TT

Hello,
Just wondering what is everyone's opinion on the best parts to make the ultimate 1911 trigger for competition?
My plan so far is to get the following parts below and then send to a gunsmith for a trigger job, goal is ~2lb.
-1911 40 S&W
- 14lb recoil spring and a 17lb mainspring
- EGW Hard sear
- EGW Long disconnector
- Colt sear spring
- Doug Koenig 1911 Low Mass Hammer
- SVI Trigger Bow - Single Stack
- SVI Trigger Insert - Medium Flat
Suggestions? Comments?

Hello,
I currently have a stag 3g with a 22lr conversion kit, along with an Burris MTAC scope.
Ammo: Federal HP 36g 22lr
When I shoot bench rest - 50 yards , I get about 2 inch of grouping
When I shoot bench rest - 25 yards , I get about 2 inch of grouping
When I shoot 7 yards....Point of impact go 4-5 inches low...
how is this possible..and what are the possible solutions?
-
Not me..just found video....not sure what language they're speaking. But...I would have walked out

No one hit the reserve on Gunbroker...I even sent the guy a message thru gunbroker expressing interest and never heard back. Makes me wonder if the gun was "real"
Jan
Yeah I doubt it was real as well.....what was the highest bid btw?

How is it possible to be on Gunbroker?
Also.
from max:
My SIG 1911MAX ran flawlessly as I finished 4th out of nearly 375 competitors at the Single Stack Nats. That makes two top 5 finishes for my first 2 years at that Championship!Max Michel Thx for the congrats guys!
Mike- I believe they are shipping this month. Call SIG customer service if you're interested. Thx! -

Update on the 1911MAX from SIG SAUER... I'm told we are just waiting on rear sights but the gun has passed several rigorous testing and should be shipping in a matter of weeks! More to follow as I get the info.

I can't see your video but is there actually a +6 9mm basepad that fits in the box?
the small base pad will fit, not the large ones
-
Its fitting, still unsure
Nvm found my correction. the small base pad will fit into the box:
- Holds 21+1 rounds of 9mm
- Adds weight to magazine
the 23 + 1 rounds of 9 mm one is the large base pad...and shouldnt fit into the box
Gen 4 Glock Dual Coil Spring System, How to install reduced Springs? Confusing
in Gun Springs
Posted · Edited by AznDragon533
This is somewhat confusing to me, If I have a Gen 4 Glock with the dual coil system and I want to change the recoil spring to 13 lbs or 15 lbs
is the only way, to buy a Gen 3 recoil guide rod, with a Reducer/converter + buy 13lb Spring? Is there such a thing as a Gen 4 Dual Coil Assembly with already a 13 lb spring installed?
