  1. I just bought my first press and was concerned that the 650 was too advanced, but I am sooooo glad I bought the 650. I recommend you buy the 650 and you will not regret your purchase, just make sure you also buy the casefeeder. I bought everything I needed through this site due to the free shipping and it was all about $1,300. That included the 650 press, auto casefeeder, 40 S&W die set, low powder check/die, D-Terminator scale, extra primer tubes (a must), digital caliper, roller handle, bullet tray.....that....that's about it. Buy once, cry once. Have Fun!!!!

  2. Thanks Doug, I called and talked it out with Rick @Mr. Bulletfeeder. It'll be awhile on any 9mm/38 stuff but I plan on getting one when they're available.

I also called and spoke with Rick and he teamed up with DAA to make MR. Bulletfeeder and will be cheaper than original and he said they hope to be ready to ship around this May. I preordered one and it looks great. You can check it out by going to DAA websited, click on their catalog (pdf), go to page 2 in catalog and is near the bottom of page. Maybe everyone already knows this.

  3. Is it bad that I haven't started competing and already picked up a press? :P

Welcome from another new IL member.

No, it's a great idea to have the press already, especially if you're set in your caliber. Even if you aren't you can always by quick changes. The best advice I can give someone just getting into the sport is buy once cry once on your gear. I'm sure that is not an original for this site but I couldve use that advice.
