  1. I'm glad that you have drop-free mags now. That'll make your reloads quicker for sure. The ejector nose still needs to be trimmed so a bullet doesn't hit. I have seen them get bent upwards over time so it hits the slide and drag on it enough to cause function issues.
  2. Thanks for the information! I assume from your replies that there are more caliber specific parts in the conversion kits than just the shell plate and buttons. I saw some doo-hickeys in the picture of the kit, but didn't recognize them. I guess I'd better get this thing set up and learn a bit about it. Thanks again! JJ
  3. Hi, I've been a Dillon user since I bought my first 450 in 1983. Recently, I came into a barely used 650 set up for .308. I'm working out my parts list to convert it to a pistol caliber, most likely .45 ACP. I know I'll need a .45 ACP die set, which I already have and I need a large pistol case feed plate, which I need to buy. My biggest question is do I really need to buy a .45 ACP caliber conversion kit, since .308 and .45 ACP share the same casehead dimensions? Is there anything else needed to switch out the 650 to a diferent caliber? Thanks for your advice and input!
