Get torx head screws, preferably plated, make sure all surfaces are throughly cleaned before applying loctite including to the underside of the screw head that contacts the mount and let it set for 24 hours. Use a tool gives you some leverage rather than just the key type when installing the screws.
If the mount has come loose previously, before reusing it check the screw holes and projection on the back of the mount that fits into the inlet on the frame for signs of wear and deformation as you may need to get a new mount.

I would get torx screws to resolve this issue, don’t settle for hex.

I make a list on my phone of everything I need to take and use it to pack and then double check it before I leave the house. Separate lists for day trip, overnight or flying.

The quick video he has on his Instagram looks like the updated checkmate.
comp different and frame looks different but I can’t tell where. The CZ open team uses czechmates with a variety of modifications including different comps, slide cut outs, popple holes, rackers and optics so it could just one of Eric's or another team members.

I Can find the Checkmate on cz-usa.
maybe shot show ?
It is not in the CZ 2023 catalogue which was just released and an ex employee of CZ dropped a list of cancelled firearms for 2023 last year and it was on it.
-
Eric Grauffel stated he was involved in the development of the new version back in 2019 and they have cancelled the current version so hopefully it is not too far away.

- It elevates the heart rate to some degree before you start shooting
- It forces a transition from fast to slow (or no) movement in order to shoot
Very practical I'd say
This is easy enough to do when starting in the shooting area. Whatever works for you, I just prefer to avoid unnecessary details in the stage which I feel don’t really add anything of value.
-
As a stage designer or MD my thoughts are does starting outside the shooting area add anything positive to the stage or shooting challenge? If not then don’t use that start position.

Apparently a revised list of acceptable manufacturers is being issued on Monday and LOK will be on the list. -
To clarify when I say ‘a bit of everything’ in relation to higher level matches I mean you are going to be tested on most if not all IPSC related skills/challenges.
The rules allow the RD some flexibility with applying the 3/2/1 to L1 and L2 matches in their region (country). I think it works well, smaller local matches can have flexibility and at a L3 you know 3/2/1 rule is going to be applied.
1.1.5 Level I and Level II matches are not required to comply strictly with the freestyle requirements or round count limitations (see Section 1.2).
1.2 Types of Courses
IPSC matches may contain the following types of courses of fire:
1.2.1 General Courses of Fire:
1.2.1.1 Short Courses – Must not require more than 12 rounds to complete. Course design and construction must not require more than 9 scoring hits from any single location or view.
1.2.1.2 Medium Courses – Must not require more than 24 rounds to complete. Course design and construction must not require more than 9 scoring hits from any single location or view, nor allow a competitor to shoot all targets in the course of fire from any single location or view.
1.2.1.3 Long Courses – Must not require more than 32 rounds to complete. Course design and construction must not require more than 9 scoring hits from any single location or view, nor allow a competitor to shoot all targets in the course of fire from any single location or view.
1.2.1.4 The approved balance for an IPSC sanctioned match is a ratio of 3 Short Courses to 2 Medium Courses to 1 Long Course (see Approved Stage Ratios in Appendix A4).
1.2.1.5. Empty chamber and/or empty magazine well/cylinder handgun ready conditions (see Chapter 8), should not be required for more than 25% of the courses of fire in a match.

I think the 3/2/1 stage requirements in IPSC are a part of balancing the test of skills. In my region the M and GM classifications can only be earned at higher level matches and these matches tend to have a bit of everything.

Slide Stops
in CZ
Ideally you want 3, 1 for competitions, 1 for everything else and a spare.
If the slide stop becomes difficult to insert or remove it is likely it has started to bend and perhaps crack. They always seem to crack in the same spot.
-
Have you considered modifying the stage or props instead?

15 minutes is too far for me lol. I prefer to dry fire regularly and shoot small matches (3-4 stages) with my mates twice a week.

New Czechmate
in CZ

if they did I’m sure it would drive more innovation in there me guns. With a quicker development and production timeline.
I do not think it is a priority for CZ. They make over 500,000 firearms a year and I would guess zeropointsomething% would be Czechmates.

If there isn't an option to order a different optic guess would have to put up with the C-More for a while. Hate to pay for the mount and optic and then first thing pay for a different mount and different optic. When I first received my Shadow2 with the milled CO package I went with the C-More RTS as that was what was recommended. Within two weeks had to send the optic back to C-More as it kept shutting off. Would fire several round or so and the red dot would turn off and would have to reboot the optic. Did this over and over so obviously that's a no-go. They put a new main board in the optic and sent it back.
I currently have the RTS mounted on the CZ TSO 40 I just picked up with CZC frame mount. Going through the zero process and bench resting gun, have it pretty close to dead on. Problem I'm noticing is the dot looks like a lunar eclipse. Top right fourth of the dot is missing from about the 11:30 to 3:00 location with jagged crown shape at the bottom of the crescent. Not positive if it's the diode or possible to clean the diode and check before sending back to C-More. Another reason I'm a bit suspicious about the C-More.
Just got back from the range tweaking the zero and confirming the latest adjustment to the load. Load velocity and zero looked great for the first two groups of five. First shot of the third group was 4" high, other four looked fine. First shot of the fourth group was 3" low, 2nd shot 3" high, next three closer to back to zero. First shot of fifth group was 5" high. Using Caldwell bench rest with bag rest for the stock, same set up I can get single hole groups with the Shadow2 9mm. I did double check the lock and felt tight. Was feeling pretty good about the zero and load for the first ten but those are some wild flyers to be tossing out at only 30'. Between the funky dot and the flyers suspicious about the RTS. Did check my chrono log so see if any wild velocity swings corresponding with the flyers but SD looked good.
Slightly off original scope of conversation, sorta related but definitely frustrating.
Check the optic mount is secured to the frame and the gun is secured in the bench rest. Also try freehand groups. It sounds like you have some vertical movement in the gun or optic.

The match sharks are going to be out of our budget. How much use can you get out of a bag - I am guessing you would change it when you change the target?
-
Looking for suggestions on protecting targets during rain so the match can continue. While we will have a small supply of weather proof targets and patches I was also thinking of getting some dry cleaning bags as a cheap backup, anyone have any experience or alternative suggestions?

Personally i retire props that cause that sort of issue. Which is why we haven't used a Polish plat rack in over a year at my matches
This will fix 90% of the problems. Either fix it or stop using the equipment if it has a history of malfunctions.

Steve Anderson's podcast has some good information on dry fire and shot calling.
-
Does it effect your reloading? If so you could talk to your optometrist about graduated lenses - the top half or 2/3 for distance and the bottom for up close. It is not perfect for me but it has been a good compromise as my eyes continue to deteriorate.
If within the rules you could also try marking the inside of the magwell to draw your eyes to the correct spot.

I think my problem has been the opposite. When I speed up my grip loosens up. My epiphany about that was at the last match I shot, there were two four target arrays, about 5 yards, easy high speed targets. I tore a muscle in my leg earlier in the match, so movement was slow for me, I focused on shooting. First array I shot fast, calling my shots, 6 a 2c. Second array I wanted to really burn it down. Shot very fast like a bill drill, still calling shots, 2 alpha, 2 Charlie, 2 mike. I loosened my grip to pull the trigger faster.
Were you really calling your shots?
If so why did you leave 2 mikes?
Sounds like your conscious thoughts were about speed instead of visual patience to see what you need to.
Are MBX Mags for a Shadow 2 Worth It?

Depends on the range surface, our range is surfaced with cracker dust and another nearby range is like bull dust when dry. Plenty of people get caught out on the next stage when they don’t inspect their mags once dropped on the range.
