  1. Both have exceptional reputations. Bruce Gray has spent a lot of time working directly with Sig working on the P320. Most of his work on this pistol has been in combination with the Sig Shooting team. I have had him work on a number of other pistols and have been very satisfied. If there is a negative he has a large back log and expect your gun to be there awhile.

  2. I have had Gray Guns work on a number of my guns. The quality of their work has always been top notch. Pricing has been very fair. Yes the wate is long. In the past for me when they call or email for payment usually the wate is only 2 to 3 weeks from that point. There might be something they did not anticipate with your gun that is holding it up.

  3. Check the USPSA web site to make sure that model is on the approved list for production if that is your intentions. The grip extensions that make a mag well and the longer magazines might not let that gun fit in the box for production. If you are thinking about limited or limited 10 division Shooting 40 S&W it would be ok. Dry fire the gun and shoot it for a while the DA trigger will loosen up then make your decision about sending it off to a gunsmith.

  4. Welcome from Fort Wright KY. Just across the river from you is Silver Creek Conservation Club. They have USPSA, IDPA, and steel matches. Towards Frankfort is the Bluegrass Sportsman Club. Near me about 2hrs from you is Miami Rifle and Pistol Club. A. Lot of good matches around the area.

    Welcome

  5. I tend to blink early in the season. I should practice the following more. Set your target at 7 yards. Put a 2"x2@ piece of tape on it. Aim at the tape. Touch your trigger then back off slightly. Touch it again a little further. Keep doing this until the gun fires. You won't know when it will go off so you won't blink. To mix it up follow the above with one round then follow it again dry fire. It does help.

  6. I thought at one point I read Sig was considering making a competition model. Something with a 5-14" barrel. Am I dreaming or has anyone else heard the same thing?

  7. When I started shooting USPSA I got lazy and bought 10 round Mec-Gar mags. The first round out of each mag would not feed right. If I only put 9 rounds in them I had no issues. The 10th round was in there so tight that the gun would not cycle and pull it out of the magazine. I have a bunch of Mec-Gar 18 and 20 round mags that work perfectly. The Pro-Mag 10 round mags are built completely different. I have not tried any but think these are what are used in Canada.

  8. A good friend of mine has been a shooter all his life. He especially likes shooting his 1911 pistols. The issue is his eye sight is deteriating to the point where he is considering giving up shooting. He is open to trying Red Dot sights. He went to a large chain sporting goods store and examined a gun that had a Burris sight on it. He did not like that. I also sent him some pictures of c-more sights on competition 2011 guns from Matt Cheely's site and he does not want anything like that. He is interest in having someone mill the top of one of his Colt 1911 slides and install a Red Dot sight. A few questions . Cost of the sight is not an issue. What is the best sight out there? Who in the Midwest is capable of milling the slide and installing such a sight. He is picky about quality work. If shooters have done this I think he would appreciate hearing about their experiences. Also some pictures would be helpful for him. Thanks in advance with any help.

  9. I just bought a sphinx and have not shot it yet. DA is stiff and I am use to shooting a Sig. SA is sweet very smooth and short. The gun grip is unbelievable. It is the first finger grooved grip that actually fits. The Mags are made by Mec- Gar. Some CZ mags are suppose to fit. I just bought 3 extra mags $40 each. Not sure but it looks like maybe the sights will be hard to change. Given that they seem real good. I hope to shoot it soon.
