Sorry, should have opened the snpoes link. That's what it basically says.
OOPS!

Rob, what you said about a wheel for turning a sub was close. It's actually a reactor control panel from a submarine prototype. (nuclear propulsion school). I believe that it came from the Nautilus SSN-571 prototype. The picture's still a fake though.

Here's one place to try.

I broke the slide lock on my Para. Called all over the country. Everyone was closed for the day. Chuck was still in the office. Had a new one 2 days later. I also need to add that I'm a new shooter. Chuck gave great advise on my original setup

Meat. Flank steak cut across the grain. Or do what I'm going to do this weekend. Dig through the freezer for those last few venison steaks from last year's hunt.
For the marinade I use soy sauce, worcestershire, minced garlic with a little of the juice.
Dry ingredients, basically whatever spices you have & like. I use onion powder, salt, sugar, pepper, Lowry's..... Experiment
Marinade it at least 8 hours. In Tupperware, not a metallic bowl. Covered tight. What I like to do is coat the meat, seal the lid & turn it upside down in the fridge.
If you like, when it's done marinating, lay each piece flat on some waxed paper, sprinkle some crushed black pepper & push it in with your palm. (Pepper Jerky)
I"ve always used my charcoal smoker with a little apple wood & some hickory. I skewer each piece on one end & hang from the racks. Try not to let the pieces touch while smoking.
Hey, it's jerky. Mine comes out tasting different ever time. Enjoy

I agree with most everyone here. Sony makes good products in most price ranges. I just dunped all of my Pioneer decks & put Sony (consumer) DVD players in my rental inventory. I haven't run into any problems so far. That includes the "home made" DVD's that people burn on their computers.

Thanks to all who responded. Some good ideas to try.

Thanks. I think the 1 piece is the answer I'm loking for. Now for a newbe question.
Can I get a 1 piece that will just drop in, or will I need to take it to a gunsmith to get fitted?

I just spent the morning removing the red loctite. It went in past the threads & froze the top half of the guide rod to the spring. And yes, I only used a drop.

I have a 2 piece stainless guide rod in my Para 16-40. It seems that after every match it comes unscrewed to within a couple of threads. Even with Blue loctite. One of these days it going to end up down range in the black hole where flying gun parts go. Any suggestions on how to prevent this?
Thanks in advance.

After dry firing all week long, it came down to the real thing. My first qualifier.
I'd been shooting really ^$^^%^ (bad) for the last few weeks. All that I was paying attention to was the target "A's". NOT the front sight.
Well, I decided to listen to the old timers.
THINK the "A" zone, SEE the front sight.
In other words look at the A's during the pre-stage ONLY. During the shoooter ready command, mentally focus on the front sight and carry that picture through. The target will follow your sight picture.
FRONT SIGHT, FRONT SIGHT, FRONT SIGHT!!!!!!
Dave, if you're reading this, thank you. You taught me the new grip also.

I recently purchased a mag well from Wilson. It's the type that slips under the grip. I have stock grips on my 1911 & was wondering if there is a technique that anyone uses to file or in some way take the grip down so the mag well fits.

The wheels allow more or less steam from the reactor (depending on which direction you turn them) to the turbines for speed. Basically they're throttles.
