  1. I know this is an old thread but I just loaded up some 147gr TC lead bullets on top of 2.1g of Clays (I got my information from the Lyman Catalog with a stated range of 1.9-2.8). The primes I am using are CCI small pistol magnums. C.O.A.L. 1.10 I decided to go with 2.1gr because it was the exact amount my lee dipper would grab and it was not the lowest and far from the max. I will report back after I shoot them this friday. I will be using a M&P pro 5in.

Curious how this is gonna go

  2. I have found the chamber on my 5.25 to be looser than my 3.8 compact. That said, I love shooting the 5.25 more than any pistol in the safe. Just added some grip tape and it was ready to go.

  3. I just loaded up about 200rds of Bear Creek 147s. 100 @ 3.8gr 1.125 and 100 @ 4.0gr 1.125. Both sets I had about a 10% failure rate (failure to lock into battery) in my M&P 9mm. They shot very well but I need to bump down the OAL to about 1.12 to ensure reliability.

  4. So I am on my second Nordic Charging handle for my FN SLP which seems to not want to stay in the gun during recoil. The first one I had would fall out of the gun if I turned it on its side. Returned it to Midway and ordered another one. This one was so tight I had to tap it in with a rubber mallet. After about 15 slugs and 15 birdshot I go to rack the gun and to my surprise there is no handle to grab. Curious if anyone has had this issue?

  5. Just tested the Remington 1oz Slug out of my FN SLP and shot two 5 shot groups at 50 yards. Each of the groups was about 5inches. Is my search for accurate slugs over? Mind you point of impact was about a foot high on both groups.

I also test the Winchester Ranger 1oz Slugs and had two failure to feeds which sucks because they grouped better at 50 yards.

  6. I've had my Pro 1000 for a little over a month and have noticed when I pull off the powder measure and disk there is powder (Titegroup) spilled where the disk moves back and forth. Is this common for Titegroup or the powder measure in general?

If you turn the powder hopper to OFF, put a small container under the expander / charge die and cycle the powder system manually, until powder is no longer despensed, you should not find but a few grains of powder in there.

Thanks, I will give it a try next loading session.
