Let me start by saying this has to the best forum out there. It is so nice to be able to find good advise and get answers from all the wonderfully helpful members. Have any of you folks ever loaded 7.62x39 Russian using WC-844 surplus powder? I see Lyman's 49th shows using H-335 with 123gr FMJ's. I use 844 in my 223 loads with great success. Just wondering if I can get away with using the same powder.

If the bullets are being measured with calipers, and you are "assuming" the calipers are correct, that is a bad situation. If you are getting that much variation in bullet diameter you had better get a micrometer and know how to use it before loading ANY ammo. Calipers are not as accurate as a micrometer and it takes some practice to measure correctly with calipers. Please Please verify he knows how to use the "calipers", before he trys to ram an oversize bullet bullet down an undersize bore. (or vise versa) It is just a bad practice to "ASSUME" when you are talking reloading.
