The key to the offer are the mags.  Are they OEM Canadian Made?  What base, follower and springs.  This is where the money is made up.  Base P16 can be found ~600 - 800 pretty easy.  TJ edition is nothing super special.  If the mags are Canadian say with Dawson base-pads I would put them at ~50 each.  So, $1200 with the gun being in very good shape, mags not worm is about the top.  If all the goodies are there and solid, this can be an OK value.

Just a note, I have over  a dozen complete Canadian mags with Dawson pads.  I picked up 3 MBX mags for Para out of curiosity.   I am now using them exclusively and have not looked back.  So you need to factor this option into your find.   I will slowly liquidate my Para Canadians to people in need.

I might be interested with your Canadian 40 mags...

  2. Anybody invented a caliber specific case feeder adapter for 1050? I hate having 380 and 38 super mix with my 9mm. Like the 550 case feeder adapter, when a 380 or 38 super or even a 9x18 makarov would be mix, the plunger wont move forward because the next brass would be in the way. Plunger should be caliber specific too.

You polish the slides yourself? I drool every time I see these pistols. One half of me wants to see just how far a bone stock PC will take me in USPSA, the other half wants one of those pistols in my hands right meow.

Start by laying a 800 grit sand paper in a flat surface and sand your slide side forward and back and forth. That is not a mirror finish. thats a typical two tone finish

Spoke with Doug Jones today, seriously thinking about sending him mine. Are you happy with its performance thus far? I love the idea of a metal framed double stack. After adding the sight tracker, slide cuts, fire controls, etc, one is still under the cost of a polymer framed STI Edge without the necessary smithing just to get it to run properly.

Yes, I am very happy with the performance of my ST. He is one the best smiths in the country. You would feel the difference when you are shooting a ST from a bushing barrel
