I'm thinking of buying a Benelli M2 tactical 12ga shotgun and was wondering what choke tube most people run in it, and was also wondering what size shot most people went with. Any suggestions?

I'm in my 40's and my eyes are crapping out on me. I'm planning on going to the eye doc to get some glasses and I'm sure he will suggest bifocals. I'm shooting iron sights on my pistol (PPC, IDPA, and IPSC occasionally) and was wondering if the bifocals are going to be a nuisance? Anybody else out there been thru this, and if so, what finally worked for you?

Thanks Pat, that makes me feel better about my choice of the Rogue Hunter. Did you go with the 16" or 18" barrel? I went back thru some older post earlier today and read some good things about the Burris XTR 1-4, what do you think about the Burris XTR 1-4 compared to the Meopta and Trijicon TR24? I also read the pissing match about scope mounts and it looks like your a fan of the Larue, I suppose I'll go with that too. You wouldn't happen to know the weight of your rig when it's in the tactical configuration would you?

I'm looking to buy my first AR and here are the uses for it: 1. Plinking at my local gun club, maximum distance of 300 yards. 2. SHTF gun. 3. Would eventually like to compete in 3 Gun, but I do not know at what distances they would be shooting at around here. Here is what I'm looking at: The 18" Noveske Rogue Hunter with the lightweight SS barrel. Would this be a good choice? Is the trigger that comes with this gun pretty good or will I need an aftermarket one? I would need a scope for this immediately, and was thinking of some kind of 1 X 4 Leupold tactical model, would anyone have an idea if this would work for most 3 Gun matches? Or, any suggestions?
