So none of the ruling bodies have any 12 Ga minimum rule established. Heavy Metal requires 12 Ga and pump but not the limited or open classes?

[A GOOD, CHEAP SPOTTING SCOPE?]

I am an old rifle shooter and know a good spotting scope. I was in NY earlier this year and stopped by B&H Photo. I figured that I would take the time to look through some really good glass because I had heard from other rifle guys that the Celestron scopes were very good. They were very right. The $150 Celestron kept pace up to the $800 Kowa. It has been solid at the range too. I highly recommend.

Given the multitude of different ruling structures, are 20 Ga non-competitive with 12 due to rules? I'm new to 3 Gun but have shot a lot of clays, rifles and pistols separately. I'd rather have a 20 Ga than another 12 to take guests out for sporting clays but don't want to handicap myself too much in the occasional 3 Gun match.
