  1. 147gr xtreme with 3.2 WST or N320 work well in my PCC at 1.14. Both around 132 PF. I am now trying  165gr xtreme with 3.0 WST or 2.9 N320 at 1.135 and it too is around 130 PF  with a little less dot movement than the 147s. If power factor is not an issue, 124 gr xtreme's with 3.0 WST is pretty amazing as far as dot movement, but only around 105PF. All cycle fine in my gun, but none of them would cycle an MPX.

  2. I have put around 1000 rounds of 165gr xtreme's down range in my 16 inch gun. They are the softest rounds I have used (I have also used 147s with 3.3 grains WST or N320). I used 2.8 gr of N320 and 3gr of WST with the 165s, giving me about 130 PF. One note is that my 147gr bullet is a .357 and the 165s are .356. I have always found the .357 bullets to shoot more accurately in my pistols. I do think that the 147s are more accurate, at least in this load, out of my PCC, however, both group very well at 25yds. I need to test out to 50 and 100 soon. I suspect the 165s will drop a good bit at 100. If that is the case I may very well work up a lighter bullet load for 3gun type distance shooting, much like I do with my 223. For USPSA distances, fast follow up rules the day.

  3. Ok, put the comp on the gun and got significant improvement in dot movement, almost no upward movement, still some side jump. Then I tried some 165gr xtreme fmj  bullets with 2.9 gr WST and got more improvement still. My son was able to do some .11 splits using this combo, I could not duplicate that.

  4. Using 147 gr xtreme at 135PF( 3.2 gr wst) I have found that the JP 308 spring and the blitzkreig hydraulic buffer is the best combo so far for me with a Spinta Bcg . I tried it with an AR15 spring; 308 spring and standard buffer; and AR 15 spring and standard buffer and none were as flat as the hydraulic buffer and 308 spring.

i plan to try 165 Xtreme with 2.8 gr wst tomorrow with above combos. I now also have a comp on the gun, which might change things some.

  5. I load to around 132 PF generally, 3.3 grains of WST using a 147 xtreme. I have to up it to 3.4-5 in the summer . I have seen 20fps swings, but no more than that. No big deal and now I just stay with 3.4 gr and have been safe.

  6. If the safety was adjusted to the sear then it was likely over adjusted. I too adjust the safety and not the sear when fitting new parts and if u are not careful you can take too much material off the safety and the result is what you have now. I do just the opposite and adjust it until it functions but stays firm when moving it to the on position. Of course you can take too much off the sear, also with the same result.

  7. I've been having issues with poor feeding on slide lock reloads lately and think it might be the k9s. At first I did not think so ,since it occurred randomly with several mags, but when I checked them, the measurements were all over the map. I tuned them up a bit and we will see.

  8. We ain't had a state match in SC in 3 years. It' sucks and I don't know why.

It is easy to understand why. It is a huge amount of work with little reward for the guys doing all the heavy lifting.

  9. Yo may be willing to deflect liability onto the RO all you want, but if I am the plaintif attorney and you are the guy that pulled the trigger, you are toast. It would be entertaining to hear you say" but the RO said it was ok to start shooting so I'm not responsible"

That seems like a stretch. Seems like a reasonable expectation if you get a range command to shoot by a safety officer who is responsible at the time.

Using your logic the shooter should be standing down range to make sure it's really safe to shoot. That would really make DNROI happy

My logic seems pretty sound. If you believe a plaintiff attorney would agree with your "reasonable expectation of no liability" you live in another world.

  11. I recently bought one of each, Stock 2 and Limited Pro.

For me, through the past 3000 rounds I have liked the Limited Pro more and more... Granted that I switched from MP9 Pro 5 inch. Maybe the 5 inch barrel pointing just feels more natural to me.

I know the science behind the design says Stock 2 should give you faster splits, but shooting them side by side on the same drill, I am also getting slightly faster splits with Limited Pro. It is also just as accurate as the Stock 2, at least at 25 yards range.

Analyzing slow motion close up video of me shooting both, it does show the muzzle flip on the Limited Pro is more obvious than the Stock 2. However, my objective feeling is that the Limited Pro tracks better :) It is definitely growing on me.

I am curious why Limited Pro has not become more popular in Production.

I think plainly because a couple of the worlds best shooters use a S2 it made that gun much more popular. The lim pro is in my opinion much more well rounded for many shooters.

  12. That is my gun in the top photo, I have since removed the slide release seen since the gun reliably auto closes with any slide release. The one seen is legal however. My gun was overweight with EG aluminum grips , so I drilled holes partially through the back of the grips to lighten them. Plastic base pads only, and they have been fine since they don't get dropped so often in IDPA. I have 3 pros and all fit the box fine. I now prefer my pro to my stock 2 and use it in IDPA, USPSA and 3 gun
