Range brass, Starline, Winchester etc....

I fed my 929PC with Starline brass exclusively. New Starline brass for major sanctioned matches, used Starline for practice and local matches.

I tried range brass, but had issues with the moonclips - too tight, too loose.

I've been trying to work up some loads for my new 929PC. Seems that everything I've tried so far either doesn't make 125 power factor, or the cases stick in the cylinder. And, yes, my 929 also runs noticeably slower than my 5" semis (1911 & M&P).

[Anyone played with a 238 ?]

I've got a P238 for my BUG and/or when carrying a larger gun isn't practical or whatever. IMHO it's a pretty respectable BUG. The SAO trigger beats most of the ultra-long DAO triggers on most of the competitors; it has real sights - night sights on my 'Rosewood', points very well and and Buffalo Bore JHP +P packs a decent wallop.

It's certainly not up to the 1-shot stop standards of the larger calibers, but 6 shots with a 380ACP in my pocket beats the big bore at home, in the glove box, etc.

The wife thinks the recoil is still too snappy on any of the pocket size 380's and much prefers her Ruger K-LCR running 38 Special.

[How much of an aid is airsoft]

Like most forms of practice, practice, practice, dry firing is rather boring. Using my KJW Airsoft P226 adds some fun to the drill and gives me another opportunity to work on trigger technique.

Is it as good as the real deal? Certainly not. But since the range is a 2 hour round trip and they're not giving ammo away, it seems to be a good alternative

[Anyone ever handle a Sig p6/225]

My wife has a P6 & she loves it. She especially likes that it is a quality service pistol shoots very nicely AND that it fits her hand. Plus she can rack the slide OK - something she can hardly do on my P226.

Hers has the American-style magazine release & shows only moderate wear on the finish.
