Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. My first post here and a total newbie with hanguns. Just recently licenced, in Canada, not the easiest thing to do. I purchased a Stock ll 9mm as my first pistol. My original intent was to use this for IPSC. The club I am shooting at also does bullseye shooting. The first series is shot with .22LR. I have a Browning International Medalist for this which is far more accurate than I am. The second series of shots are centerfire. I have been told by a couple of guys on the line that my Stock ll will not be accurate enough at 25yrds to be able to compete in this section of the competitions. They say primarily because it is 9mm. I have yet to try it. For an accomplished shooter, which I am not, what type of 5 shot groups could you accomplish at 25yrds with a Stock ll? I love the Stock ll and it took me awhile to save up the coin to buy one. They are telling me I should be looking at a S&W 586 or 686 in .38spl. I don't want to go there if I don't have to. I'd love some feedback guys and I am sorry if this indeed a stupid question. Thanks!
