Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Come on already! I feel like a kid, are we there yet? TTT
  2. Ok. The first of March has come and gone. Anyone have an update? TTT
  3. Range Update! My gunsmithing didn't work. I had a FTE at the last match on the first stage. Once the malfunction was cleard, it ran perfect for the next two stages. I'm not taking any more chances so I installed the Apex FRE last night. So....... back to the range for reliabilty testing.
  4. Thanks for everyones input. I took the extractor out last night and made the hook angle a little sharper. I am pretty good about cleaning my guns but there was a ton of crud packed in it. I made sure that everything was as burr free as possible. I will try to get to the range tomorrow for testing. If it doesnt solve the problem I will ge the FRE from Kenny at SSS. Dan Burwell, I dont know you, and you dont know me, but according to the M&P world, you are "The Man". I greatly appreciate you sharing your wisdom with us. I know there were alot of people looking for you. Glad to see your post.
  5. Thanks Sarge. The power of the search function. Looks like I will be placing an order with SSS.
  6. Totally frustrated! This is the third failure to extract I have had. I am currently running a 13 lb spring on a tungsten guide rod shooting 1050 fps on 124 MG bullets. I thought at first it was firing out of battery but now I am not sure. All three time I have had to use a multitool to get the case to come out. Tonight I put the case into my case gauge an it checks out fine. What is happening? Upon inspection the case has the "Glock bulge" but it fit fine in me Wilson case gauge. Any thoughts.
  7. g-man bart. thanks for the advice on how to best use the forum. i stand corrected on the divison/class. i knew i was wrong when i said class but division escaped me at the time. i told you in the beginning i had alot to learn, that is why i am in the beginners section. I appreciate all of the help. how many matches chrono ammo?
  8. +1 on the dryer sheet. saw a fella on youtube doing it and gave it a try. Keeps the media clean. I also use the dillon polish. My latest observation is that my frankford arsenal has more action with the lid off. Maybe i have too much media????
  9. sees sights. i need to shoot jacketed ammo due to indoor regulations. My budget leans more toward the 115g or 124g. I use titegroup, unique, and bullseye. I currently do not have a chrono. I would feel more comfortable around a 127 pf. I was just reading another post about slow barrels???? I have alot to learn....
  10. thanks postalbob. Do you shoot round nose, flat nose, or hollow point? Does it make a difference?
  11. hello, I am fairly new to competetive shooting and want to know everyones thoughts on loads for production class. I am currrently shooting 115g factory Federal Champions. I have a Dillon RL 550B but dont know about bullet weight or powder configurations. According to the USPSA rules i need a power factor of 125. What combos do you recommend for lower recoil loads.
