And once you have them cut down you’ll need pouches that are secure but quick in and quick out. Dave Parker has a new design that is the best I’ve ever seen or used in ICORE and IDPA.

I plug the hole with 3/16 pins from McMaster Carr. They press fit in nicely and a length of 3/4” is almost perfect but lately I’ve been using 13/16” to make sure they don’t press in below flush. https://www.mcmaster.com/standard-dowel-pins
