I replaced the dillon sizer some years back with a Lee and never had a problem. SJ 40

You can always use silicon in the seater punch with a bit of plastic bag over the silicon to form a custom punch,if you decide on a different bullet just remove the silicon and do it over. SJ 40

More of a 40 thing due to the TC bullets most commonly used in them. Thanks guys, I'll be sending it off to get it throated. Is this something that is just a .40 issue? I've got a LWD barrel in my G17 and it handles lead just fine but I was thinking of getting one for my G19 and I don't want to run into the same problem.
Yes it is referred to as the GT hole. SJ 40

If one wants to shoot most cast bullet loads from a LWD barrel send it to them and they will open it up,that or choose any other companies barrel and shoot as is. SJ 40This is normal. I sent my LW barrel back to them with a few dummy rounds and for $15.00 they opened up the chamber to accept the larger diameter lead bullets and throated it so I could load out to 1.150. The chamber is too tight for anything over .400 as the barrel comes. Since they opened up the chamber and throated it for me my gun has been 100% reliable with lead or coated bullets. The turn around was 6 days from Lone Wolf for the reaming and throating.

My preference is 180 gr. for both. SJ 40

I run my 40's for a Glock at 1.135 because my magazines won't accept a longer length without feed problems.
While it may not be the perfect powder for 40 major I have taken to WSF,lacks the reverse sensitivity of WST.
The load I use out of a G 22 gives me 980 fps SJ 40

They are in fact the same identical powders as are W-W 296 and Hodgdons H- 110. SJ 40I read that HP38 was developed to copy W231. Not that much of a stretch as Hodgdon makes HP38 and also makes the Winchester powders under license....

The are both JHP's, I load them the same. SJ 40

I just use my standard 3 die Lee set, fired out of a Glock and reloaded for a Glock never any problems. SJ 40

I have shot cast lead bullets out of polygonal Glock barrels for more years than I can remember. SJ 40

One of my favorites for forty and many others for that matter. SJ 40

I would also suggest WST,that is my choice. SJ 40

My standard Lee three die carbide set takes the bulges out of any range brass so afflicted.

I load both with no unusual problems. SJ 40

When using it with lead or platted bullets one runs the risk of squeezing down the bullet diameter, not something I care to do. SJ 40I know some of the bullet mfgs will say not to use the fcd on their plated or lead bullets for some reason. On plated I just use it to post size and not crimp at all for fear of distorting the bullet
-
I'm sure and I'm not interested in using one at all but that's just me. SJ 40thanks for the intel.
a little unsure about factory crimp on the .40 cal

when it comes to semi auto pistol cartridges my first choice is Lee,they tend to on average size the cases more towards the SAMMI minimums. If properly adjusted 99% just drop in and out of the chamber checker. SJ 40

In my experience some of the aftermarket Glock barrels have tighter throats and with lead bullets it usually makes it's self apparent. One that I have used that didn't is the Wilson barrels, they feed and function as reliably as a OEM IMO. SJ 40

I find them to be average,IMO Starline is the best. SJ 40
