  1. Hi all, I want to adquire a new pistol and I’m in doubt. I’ve 2 different quotes, from 2 different dealers. Dealer 1. Tanfoglio Stock III special Xtrem guide custom tanfoglio Sear Tanfoglio Xtrem Titan Hammer Xtreme firing Pin Xtreme Front Sight Double action trigger Xtreme Tanfoglio Magazine (A total of 3 magazines. If I want one more about 65$) (Springs and adjustment free) A total price of 1.430 €. (As € is about dollar, lets say 1430$ USD). Seems that adjustment is going to be well done. The gunsmith is one of the few in the world approved by Tanfoglio. Anway I’m not saying that any other gunsmith won’t do well. Dealer 2. Tanfoglio Stock III Xtreme (with 4 magazines) 1.340€ so 1.340$ USD Just the pistol no more improvements. I’ve been Reading the forum, specially. /forums/index.php?showtopic=189052&hl=%2Bxtreme#entry2091331 /forums/index.php?showtopic=222775&hl=%2Bxtreme#entry2483539 In this link s0nny_g17 recommends “Install the titan hammer and light springs(mainspring & firing pin) to your xtreme”. /forums/index.php?showtopic=213730&hl=%20xtreme&page=1 and others. I can't post the entire link. And now the question is. Should I go for the Dealer 1 Tanfoglio Stock III Special (everything allready done, I hope) or for the Dealer 2 Tanfoglio Stock III Xtreme, (and do by myself the improvements)?. Improvements = at least Xtreme Titan Hammer and springs (By the way, I don’t know what springs are). Is the Titan Hammer installation easy enough for a newbie?. As I read "Shadetree gunsmithin' isn't for the faint at heart" by Kneelingatlas. With this, what would you recommend me to do?
  2. Hello from Spain, more or less a newbie, one a half year shooting. Now I own a second or third (or fourth) hand Beretta 92FS and a .22 lr conversion kit. Good pistol, reliable, trigger too heavy (trigger job never done) and the grip is too big for my hands. I'm thinking now about a new adquisition. And that is why I'm in this forum. Looking for advice and wisdom. I've been reading the forum a while, and seems that there are a lot of wisdom here. (It's not a joke). A bit more, I use the Beretta 92FS to practice IPSC in the standard category. Yes, I know that is not a Standard pistol, but is what I have. And I my shooting range only practice production a coulple of guys, so its very boring.
  3. Hello, due to I work on a patrol boat, I'm looking for suggestions to buy a holster, for the HK USP pistol, that can be used in the marine environment. Right now I use a Vega VKS8 but I'm concerned about rust, I'm using it for only a couple of weeks. Are there any polymer holster without any kind of metal parts??. I've been looking on internet without luck. Thank you very much. Any kind of suggestion will be welcomed!!!!.
