If you get in an accident then I'm great to have around. I worked Trauma for 20+ years. If you want your oil changed, you are SCREWED....I'm not real mechanically inclined, but the 650 is simple. Even I can do it...
Used my pops 550 long ago and love my 650 now...

For me it's Top Gun, but it's more about when/where I saw the movie than the actual movie.
I saw it on the Navy base in Yokosuka Japan in '86. I was 17 yo and a fresh from bootcamp SR. The excitement in a theater was electric as we all felt like we were in the movie. That night, that movie BELONGED to us.

I was alone and working on the road. In a moment of weakness I went to "Witless Protection" by Larry the Cable Guy. I walked out. I see practically every movie but couldn't watch that one.

Even in these weird times you can get a good deal if you are patient and watch closely. I ordered a 650 from Brian in early May that I'm waiting on. In the interim I bought a complete setup on here for 9,45 and 223. It came with practically everything I needed and was about 15-20% less than list.
When my building is finished and I start setting up my bench, I'll have two 650's and my MEC 9000g setup in my private man cave.

I ordered my press for you because you have put a wealth of info on your site. This is the best info and forum on the net.
That being said, we still like to discuss our own individual situations...It breaks up the monotony while we wait for components to reload.

I have been following this thread for a long time and dreaming. Now I'm actually building my "Reloading Building". Attached is a picture I snatched from this thread a while back. I want shelves like these stainless ones in this picture.
If you know these shelves or this is yours and you can direct me how to get some, please let me know. I spent hours last night trying to find the original post.

I picked up a casefeeder for a deal, so I'm one step closer. No sign of the 650 yet (and I didn't expect it yet) but I have many components and am about to order some other parts.
The backorder won't bother me because of the way I'm having to space out the expense but maybe I'll go ahead and get some dies ordered just because of the backorders. By the time I can get everything ordered the press and dies should show up.

I'm starting a skeet/trap league with my son. I've never shot formal skeet/trap in my life. This is a good place for us to start because it is a handicap league.
Question is, other a gun, ammo, and ear/eye protection, what do I need as far as equipment? Shell holder for belt?
Obviously this question reveals that I'm a complete newbie as far as clays go.

I like when you grab a cheap product because you really needed it and then it turns out to be a great product.
Often it ends up being the other way but it is refreshing when you find quality at a great price.

I meant if the shipper didn't disclose that it is hazmat and ships without paying/disclosing. I don't want to get in trouble because some "mom and pop" shop wants to skimp on shipping.

I'm thinking of buying some primers from Gunbroker. (I know they are overpriced.)
Even if the vendor charges me the Hazmat charge, there is no guarantee that the vendor is shipping properly.
Question is, Who is responsible for ensuring that they are shipped properly? I've done several searches on Hazmat shipping and all the info I can find places the emphasis on the shipper.

I got offered 2000 tulammo Large Pistol primers for $80. I've heard mixed reviews on these. I'm just starting the process and looking for components.

So I ordered my 650 today. I am doing it unconventionally. I ordered only the press. Next month I'll order $500 more, and the month after that, and the month after that, and on, and on, and on....
Thats the way it works with 3 in college.....

I just bought 1000 rds at Freedom Munitions. 500 new and 500 reloads. I know most of you roll your own, but with the shortage of components I thought I'd let you know it is there. Hard to compete without ammo.
With Shipping it came out to $20/bx.
I also know some of you hate plated bullets, but right now I'll use them. I've never had any problems with their stuff. Your mileage may vary.

I have a friend that has a 1948 Winchester Model 94. The caliber is 32 SW. Here's the question.
With my early 1900's Colt 38 auto, I have to be very careful to not use modern (plus or super) ammo. The gun can't take the pressures.
With this gun, are there ammo issues he needs to watch?

I apologize if this isn't the right place for this post.
My dad has always loved old Colt pistols. He has a 1903, 1907 and a ton of 1911's. He has one 1911 he loves that is circa year 1913. It has all the US Government markings. He occasionally carries it on the ranch.
Recently he went to put it away and the front site was gone. I haven't seen him this heartbroken in my lifetime. Regardless I just want to know where I can get another original front site. Also, I have no clue how to get it fixed. I don't want to hurt the value by having poor quality workmanship.
I appreciate your feedback.

I did the same thing, slowed down my shooting since I couldn't replace the ammo. My shooting level varies greatly depending on activity level of my children but if I hadn't slowed down, I would have been in desperate shape.
